Got sick Two weeks ago and was sick as a dog. Went to the Doctor the 3rd day as I was not getting any better and gave me a prescription of antibiotics and Tamiflu. They tested me for the Pig flu and I found out yesterday two weeks later I was positive for the H-1 n-1 swine flu. Still feeling the affects but much better. I came back to work the 4th day of the sickness as I felt somewhat better and felt obligated to do so. Especially in this economy. Thank god I do not know of anyone at work that contracted it from me. A friend of mine did get it from me though as we played golf together the day before I got sick. He is in the construction industry and got laid off a 6 weeks ago and did not have any health insurance so no medication. He is catholic and said one night he was so sick he thought he might die so he slept with his rosary beeds that night lol. He lived. You do not want it. Believe me. It is no fun. My wife had it and gave it to me. We were both sick as crap. My 31st anniversary is today to my beautiful wife. Had my 50th birthday yesterday. Old as dirt now. Thanks for all the well wishes LOL. Unbelievable how time flys. Visit Madjacks everyday and usually get a chuckle or two and some good betting info. Not that it helps. Stay away from the flu!

Please share some details. I was sick as hell for 2 weeks but never got a fever. Started with sore throat then cough then green snot from nose and chest for over 2 weeks. I was dizzy 24/7 felt like I was beyond drugged lethargic hurt all over. But my doctor said no fever no swine flu. Did you have a fever ? Glad to hear you are better. On a lighter note (joke) stay away from the pigs we down south have heard you jacksonville folk think it feels the same as a sheep !! :mj07:

I got the normal flu shot but not the pig flu shot, I am not getting it either, my 4 year old will probably get it and my wife will probably get it, but me, no...glad to hear you are feeling better

seriously......i was under the impression that guys in our age group had a certain amount of immunity to the h1ni virus.....i guess it won`t stop us from getting it.....

the last year or two,i`ve had bouts of seasonal asthma on and off in spring and fall....i have an inhaler that takes care of the symptoms,but,the thought of getting a repiratory flu when i`m in full blown asthma mode is scary as hell.....



got the regular shot...considering whether to try and get the second one...may not even be available...

DrRays I did not have a high fever at all. My wife did though. My friend had a very severe sore throat and I did not. I Had a very severe cough and lungs were full of fluid. Still coughing up shit. Felt like I had been run over by a train. I think it affects people differently. My dr's. office said I was only the second case they had reported. I am from Oklahoma so naturally I go for sheep.

yeah...something to think about...i`ll mention it to my doctor....thanks...

.i never smoked...and i hit the treadmill 5 times a week....but,this damned asthma has me baffled....started last year in the spring...went away in about 6 weeks...same thing this spring...and now the fall....

mucinex helps a good bit...

my old man was a 3.5/4 pack a day unfiltered chesterfield smoker...maybe the second hand smoke thing is catching up to me....

i know it`s a pain in the ass...

Please share the ingredient list of the shots you so got.

If you've actually seen the list, read it and understand it and STILL got the shot(s) you are a braver man than I am.

My 11 yr old son had H1N1 two weeks ago and missed 7 days of school. He's fine now. Kaiser doesn't swab for the flu..they go off symptoms. Thank God my wife, 2 yr old or myself didn't get it. Now, our neighbors are sick. Shit spreads like wild fires..especially with kids.
