Driving home from my moms in my wifes mustang GT a huge buck came flying into the passenger side of our car. We stopped and approached the big guy who was laying stunned in the road. Somehow he got to his feet and hobbled back into the woods.

By the looks of things he managed to ring up about 2K in damages. He really hit us hard. Nobody was injured but I'll aiways wonder if the deer will survive such a collision.

It sure put a damper on a wonderful day. My wife is an animal lover and quite shaken by the event, I see therapy bills in my future.

Glad you two weren't hurt. I'll bet the damage is 2 or 3 times what you intially thought, if not more!

Thanks, I may get some pictures and post if I can.
May need a hood, for sure need new bumper headlight assembly, front quarter panel and passenger door. You're right it could be a lot more.
Thank God It will only cost me $250 out of pocket and everybody is OK. he was very close to vaulting through my wife's window.

Brand new Mustang GT, and a Beamer!

:00hour

Did you file a Police report? Shouldn't be a big deal with the insurance, but I have seen stranger things.

Hitting a Deer is comprehensive, not collision, just so you know. Sounds like you knew that though.

Glad you are ok!

Yeah, we made a report just to be safe, took it over to the body shop this morning and the guy gave it a quick look and said $3500- $4000.
May take a quick hike through the woods a little later to see if I can find him. I can't imagine that he could survive for long. He had an impressive rack that would look good in my home office.

Youd be surprised what a deer can take.
