Ive always considered this the most knowledge forum when it comes to handicapping in general. so I pose this question.
Last night at halftime Seattle was winning by 13 points. I liked Seattle at half and had these four halftime options
Seattle +3 -150
Seattle +.5 -108
Seattle +2.5 -120
Seattle P +110
What is half a point worth for a half?
Ive always figured about 20cents in general and 30 or more if covering on/ off 3 and 7
My thought process went like this
I like Seattle at +110, but think decent chance of tie so lets go with +.5 for 18 cents more.
Well hey its only 12 more cents to get +2.5, some kind of two point try could take place because one more fg by Seattle makes 16.
WEll its only 30 cents more to get a whole fg. So in the couple minutes I had to make a decision this seemed like best overall option.
Im looking for comments and thought processes to use during the season. Time is short and decisions have to be made fairly quickly at halftime.
