I like all kinds of sandwiches. I could live off sandwiches alone.
Not going to try tongue or bahn mi though, I have enough to choose from to keep me busy. :0008

Above the Clouds....
30 years ago when working nites we would go to this house in the Italian section of town. The woman that lived there would sell Italian dinners at the back steps. We used to get veal parm subs on a half loaf of Italian bread for $4. Then when you went around front her husband was selling 40oz bottles of Colt 45 for a buck.

I can remember sitting outside on a hot summer nite having dinner under the stars!

:0074 nice. Wish that kind of stuff was still around

There's a house turned taco shop here in south la.. been there a couple times... both times when I stuck my nose in the little slot to order it smells like dry dog food. Foods alright, however it's one of those place where if you don't speak Spanish or at least order your food in espanol they hardly acknowledge you. I took three years of Spanish in high school, can't speak a lick of it but I do know how to order tacos. Hola. Dos tacos De asada y Dos De pastor y Dos De Cabeza... chile? Verde O raja? Si roja. .. algo mas? Si horchata grande. Para a que? O para yavar? Para yavar gracias. :00x3

Making a sandwich for myself, I make an awesome BLT. And worthy of an honorable mention, thanks to a thread at Madjacks, I look forward to the summer when I'll be making lots of tomato sandwiches (and yyz is absolutely correct, the bread really needs to be toasted, lightly is fine).

When buying a sandwich, I'm partial to an amazing burger (lots of possibilities), and for sure an awesome club sandwich, with avocado or without, can also be a joy to eat.

One of my sisters owns a restaurant and is a fabulous cook. She once packed a lunch for us back in 2008 to take to AT&T Park for a Giants vs. Cubs game. The sandwiches featured leftovers from her awesome roast leg of lamb from two nights prior. I don?t remember the exact fixings, but there would have been tomato and onion, some style of mustard, maybe some greens, on a perfect kaiser style roll that was not too hard or too soft, all fresh, chilled, delicious and locally sourced. On a sunny afternoon at the ballpark it was the best damn sandwich I?d ever eaten, I told my sister so as I savored the experience, the four of us were all unanimous they were pretty damn good sandwiches, and I know I?ve never had a better sandwich in the nine years since.
