It will be interesting to see Hammerin Hank's pick tonight, I feel he will have some good insight into this matchup because he was a Miami Dolphins announcer for 13 years.

i have heard so much about this fellow lately, i may as well express my feelings:

a couple of years ago, i would get part of his radio show by default, as he was on the only sports radio station in miami.

how this guy could stay on, i have no idea. if you were not a sportscaster or buddy of his, or maybe a player, and if you happen to ask a non-pro-pro question or give an opinion he did not agree with, he would just blast away without even giving the other fellow a chance to respond, often hanging the phone up on the caller.

i don't care how smart anyone is; if you cannot tolerate someone else's opinion without blasting them, you are nothing to me.

so to artery-hardened hank and others like him:

on behalf of all those folks who wanted to be part of and enjoy the nfl, but you never gave them a chance.

p.s.

djv and other near-seniors, including myself: i hope we never get to that state of mind.

he is a very controversial figure, that's for sure but he's been on target on his monday night picks all year. The guy definitely knows the NFL game he's been analyzing it for over 40 years. ESPN hired him as an analyst. His pick comes around 6:20 pm. Whoever see's it should post it.

Hammer'in Hank: First decent year in many. Just don't go there myself.

Appreciate the thread as all info IS important. Good luck if you play tonight!

This "old timer" will put no value on Hank. Don't play his picks, don't fade his picks.

Honestly, his picks have been wonderful fades over the years, but won't go there.

Berman has been with ESPN for many years, and as the Swami, he is no better than flipping a coin.

Hey Pepin
I've never heard of this dude but you just described a sportscaster out here on the west coast that sounds to be just like him

senor (sir)

why even bother with runaround sue and mary poppins tonight? stay home and just count the cash, and when the kids ask you what you are doing with all that money, just say:

it's to help santa this year, kids.

ok, if you must:

first half-indy
first half-under
second half-miami
second half-over
game-miami

not what you wanted to hear, hey? i am riding a third superteaser on miami +8.5 to make it 3 for 3, although i lost half a cup of coffee yesterday, what with all my weird plays.

anyway, there is room for a compromise here for both to be happy. let's hope it hits the middle.

Had Hank on going home tonight and guy called asking about the over and sounded by Hanks reply it was the play. Hank was saying with the colts giving up almost 30 pts a game and Manning is worth a few points also.
