Hank likes G.B. plus the points tonight. Just thought I would post it if any missed it or gave a shit about it. He went 3-2 yesterday. He Carolina winning but not covering. My only problem with his pick is there is a stat that hits about 95% of the time on Monday night football- if you throw the line out and pick the winner, you cover the game. I don't know if GB can win it but I am going to ride Hanks picks out this year,so go Pack!

Good luck to everyone, unless you have the opposing team. Peace out Bitches.

Snake............keep in mind that Hank is on record as saying that he hates he game tonite and asks for a little leeway sometimes as he is "forced" to pick the game. Off the air, he thinks it's an ugly game
Just thought I'd throw that in FYI. He is 3-2 on ESPN yesterday & 8-6 so far on the week's card, even with Vick going out early and probably costing an over to come in.

Thanks HITMAN, I did not know he hated the game. I knew he is contractually obligated to pick it, but I never know if he Truely likes it or not. They don't exactly tell you that on sportscenter.

good luck

I was going to play Carolina fairly big. But after you gave me Hank's pick, well I may have to double my bet.
Hammerin' Hank seems like he's been around forever. And I have no idea why.
Can you post his record over the last decade? Maybe I'm wrong.
It just always seems like the same thing. There is some pre-game show and they decide to hand the next segment over to their Vegas expert. He picks about 4 games and tells me all these stats as to why they are good plays. Usually involves trends such as home dog on a week after they played on artificial turf outside of a dome at night right after a full moon.
The funny thing is, it always seems to start off the exact same way. They say how Hank did the week before.
Well, Hank struggled a bit last week, going 1-3. Tough outing last week, Hank. Try again.
This guy's had more do-over's than a 3rd grade kickball game.
There is only one situation where I will take Hammerin' Hank's advice.
And thats when he picks a game the exact opposite way of "Against the Norm" Shintzus. Now, that guy sucks. Norm makes Hank look like me. Think about that one for a while.
Give me Jimmy "The Greek" Snyder any day of the week, especially Sunday. That greasy-headed racist old man kept Brent Musburger from going bankrupt back in the day. Probably had a couple late nights with Phyllis George as well.

I'm quickly understanding that Hank is not a favorite around this site, but don't shoot the messenger. I just though I would post his pick if anyone gave a damn. I though he had a good track record but could be wrong. I like the fact he is documented on espn and not by himself. A lot of people end up with great records when they are self documented. Please let me know if you see a record on him. That being said, I like Carolina because I think they will win ,and so did hank, and that plays into my previous stat of just picking the winner.

good luck to all on Carolina

Snake Eyes, that wasn't directed at you, plus I just wanted to have a little fun with it. I honestly don't know the guy's record, but I never see him above .500. Like I said before, seems like everytime I see him, it starts out with "tough luck last week Hank. Wipe the slate clean and try again. What do you have this week."
LOL. A nice job to have.

Thanks for the response Touchdown, I did not mean to get all defensive. I truly don't know his track record and don't want to jump on a mule to win the Kentucky Derby. No blood, no foul. Good luck to you tonight, mainly because I have the same bet. LOL

Nice goin with your pick Snake Eyes, good cash.
I got lucky with the game, I had Carolina -1 on the second half of a teaser with Indy. I took GBay +7.5 to hedge a bit and caught the middle, which was nice. So, I have to say I didn't take the Pack on Hank's advice , tho. I consider it a lucky win.
Hank's record can be followed in my weekly Goldberg's picks thread, come hell or high water.
Anyone that follows just one person's picks, without their own/or other's input is not going into the games with a fully inflated ball. No one ever said he was God.
It seems that anyone who is out of favor with Hank hasn't a full ball filled with past knowledge either. As I have said many times before, he has been around a long time on the air with prognostications, close to 30 years. He has had many, many fine years including a few where he was practically untouchable. I don't have his record over this span, but I am sure it is on he plus side.............or I wouldn't still be considering him worthwhile. He tends to be a bit streaky, not so this year, however, as he is 29-24-1 overall. He also seems to have a better time with his "home team", the Dolphins. He has many contacts throughout the league...........so if you don't agree with his picks, just listen to his input as it is worthwhile and knowledgeable much more often than it is not.
As Snake said, he is under contract to pick the Monday nite games and can't exactly say on the air that the game is a whiffer. Which it was.........the spread was in doubt until the last couple of minutes.

**He also laid out Alabama (W)this week in his only college play so far this year. Also touted Tarver early in the week while he was still a dog (W)and also Klitchko (W) (sic?) last week.

I agree HITMAN. Never hurts to take a gander. I think he does his homework.

Thanks for the work.

Thanks KC.................the only thing I can add to this is that ESPN sorta lends a circus atmosphere to a lotta their stuff, promoting some light heartedness and of course controversy and a few big mouths, ala Michael Irvin, Tom Jackson and that other big mouthed Jackson guy(the so called basketball guy, I can't recall his first name right now as I turn him off immediately).
I am fortunate to be able to listen to Hank 4 or 5 times per week........where he is not as jovial as ESPN presents him to be. KC is right, he does his homework and it's excellent serious listening.
Over & out.........THE HITMAN

it is excellent listening, but you have to take his advice and then do your own homework before making anything a play...from you post i was under the impression you were going to follow everything this guy picks...and i guarantee that would be a sure fire way to the poor house!
