Handicapping the Memorial

Haven't had time to snoop around and not sure I'll get to today, but I think the key to capping this year's Memorial matchups is to look for the biggest whiners in regards to the gap-toothed rakes for the bunkers - this was a big deal to many last year and I'm sure some of the PGA Tour's finest puscies are howling at the moon once again

If I have the time tonight, I will search for quotes from Memorial entrants to see just who is whining the loudest, make a list of the whiners, and pick and choose who to fade from that list - haven't even looked at the field but it probably wouldn't be hard to guess which guys are crying loudest

If anyone else has any info in regards to this situation I would appreciate the input

As always, good luck to all in the Golf Forum this week

Not much in the media in regards to previous post, but found one I REALLY like this week

Furyk -120 vs Singh

Vijay played across the pond last week and has had mixed results at Murfield, including a t-38 and a MC in his last 2 - Singh not very good at taking his foot off of the accelerator and this is not the best course for that type of mindframe

Furyk meanwhile a past champion at Jack's place and seems to be rounding into form after a tough start to '07 - have a feeling he'll be hitting from the short grass a lot more often than Vijay this week and with the penal rough that will be a problem for the Fijian

Will be playing this for a dime

Seems pretty solid. Vijay played well last week and i dont think jetlag is that big of factor. Tiger has been all over the US the past 2 weeks. I dont expect him to come out that sharp. It seems like a really tough week this week. No injury news. Everyone has about the same course record. No one is really that hot. Good Luck

Robert Allenby, presumably from last year:

Predictably, the pros didn?t take long to start complaining. "This is the best-groomed golf course, and I can't believe they would do the bunkers like this," said Robert Allenby. "It already was hard to get the ball tight. I don't think anyone likes it who is playing this tournament."

Well of course no one likes it Robert!! - these are guys who complain when Par 5's are turned into Par 4's for Open layouts - it's a Par 4 for everyone you idiots!!!!!!!!!!!

5 units decrepit Immelman over whiny Allenby

Also noticed that Maggert called the situation "A Mickey Mouse move" last year - do these guys know they are referring to f'ing Jack Nicklaus????? Makes me f'ing sick - my book has no matchups with Jeff though

I have Furyk @ -110 over Vijay, but my out does not have any Allenby or Maggert matchups. Too bad, as I like your fade the pu$$ies angle.

and just as Vijay is knocking in a 23 footer for birdie on 15 Furyk misses YET ANOTHER putt from 8 ft and walks away with bogey on 12
