Thanks for the birthday wishes. Am off work today. I figure that if we can take Martin Luther King's birthday off.. why not mine?
I'm going to try to get out today and do something fun.
Kathy is still hanging in there. She's doing her third chemo now. Has been in the hospital for a week with two more weeks to go.
Next month will have a bone marrow transplant using stem cells taken from her own circulating blood. They tried to get a match from her sisters but no cigar. They matched each other but not Kathy.
We remain positive and are fighting this leukemia.

FYI, my wife and I are expecting in 2 months and we are freezing the baby's cord blood, just in case someone in the family needs stem cells, they made major strides in area, might want to check the family to see if anyone has had a baby recently and they kept the blood. The company we are using in Viacord in NJ. FWIW

I slept in yesterday. Screwed around until about 12, then hit an Indian casino. I've been reading Nolan Dalla's stuff on poker for about a year now. Never played poker in my life but at Nolan's suggestion in a post on beginners books I bought several about a month ago.
Started playing live poker about three weeks ago. So far have had three winning session and one losing session that about wiped out all my winnings so far.
Got into a friendly table yesterday.. had to take Kathy dinner when I was down two dollars. Returned to same table three hours later and left a winner! After 3 hours of play I was up 13 dollars! Wow!
More exciting than my winning was hitting four of a kind and three full houses. I play very conservatively and was amazed at some of the guys that just bet on every frigging hand!
Now.. in search of the perfect holdem table which has me and six drunks and two old geezers with ahlzheimers and urinary incontinence. It's got to be there somewhere.
Kathy doing pretty well. I took her fried chicken from KFC and a hot fudge sundae from DQ for dinner.
