anyone stayed there or been there? Planning the vacation to vegas with my wife and I always see this place featured on the nightlife hotspot lists and such. And the rooms are only 60$ a night if i book online.
Is it located near all the other bigger name joints like mirage/binions etc?
Is it a fun place to have a good time with the old lady?

I am not necessarily worried about the actual casino of it, but more of the overall atmosphere/livelyhood of the place. I dont want to end up staying at a place full of old geezers.

I wanna have fun and see some tail! and i have heard that the hard rock has some of the hotter women frequenting the nightclub there.

A casino full of old geezers is not what you'll find at the Hard Rock.

It is a hip place where the younger crowd hangs out. It's atmosphere is mostly about Rock 'n Roll (memoribilia, tunes playing, Concert Hall--aptly named The JOINT).

It's location leaves a little to be desired. It's off the strip and not within walking distance either (unless you want to walk for a half hour).

It is across the street from Club Paradise, an upscale gentelmen's club.

Basically it is a nice hotel with a sandy beach pool and lots of rock and roll memoribilia to look at, not to mention some of the hottest chicks in Vegas (but many in their early 20's).

Bally's is a relatively cheap hotel with a great location (within walking distance to All casinos--or monorail to MGM). I do not like to gamble there though due to their 6 deck shoes, no poker room, and low payouts on Caribbean Stud Poker...If gambling isn't important to you, you may want to consider Bally's for Value...

I understand that a few of those early
20 somethings are of the "professional" variety. If ya know what I mean. Including
some who dance at that club. Lol...

I was up there for the superbowl and we went the hardrock one night when Howard Stern was there during the day. Wow! never saw so many hot babes in my life. If you're going for eye candy than I don't think you will be disappointed.

On the course!
....and if you want the eye candy, you had better have some "nose" candy.

It's a freak show there, with nothing but wannabes.

H/Rock has the name but doesn't play the game. Just off the strip and overrated. Minor league sportsbook that sweats $. I see it starting to become a locals joint. I ate in their 'gourmet' restaurant Mortoni's. Yeah sure, owner Peter Morton--Italian Food? On a one to ten scale......seven.

ps. looking to pick up chicks here? Maybe. Best bet? bring your own. Atleast you know what you got.

no, i am not loooking to pick up chicks. LOL* the wife would KILL me.
But, I would like to hit a place that has the overwhelming majority of people there in our age group (26) just for the simple fact that my wife would feel more comfortable and get a little looser than she might if say the crowd was in their 40's or something.
I aint too worried about gambling on this trip, but rather find a hotel that is
1. affordable ($60/night there)
2. plenty of stuff to do there that is non-gambling

if anybody has any other suggestions for me feel free to shout it out. I keep getting ads from Las Vegas Hilton offering great deals on 25/night rooms but you have to get there in like 3 weeks to get it. which

Got a b-in-law who frequents the place quite often. It is actually the ONLY place he'll stay at in Vegas. More than any other place, you'll find more people your age at the HardRock. Went there to eat in '98 but that's about it. My b-in-law loves the place and has commented more than once about the fine lookin' women. Also said they have a hell of a pool scene equipped with internet cameras. Let us know when you're gonna be out there and let us check out that mug of yours.

Marine,

The California Club(Boyd's Group) downtown is the unofficial vacation spot for Hawaiians. Not the Bellagio for sure, but inexpensive and you don't have to put all your time there. Not Bad.

ronbets,

THANKS for the scoop. By hawaiins, do ya mean the actual honest to goodness hawaiians? or just us paleface white boy mainlanders who are visiting as well?

In certain areas over here it is bad enuff blood between the natives and white folk... hate to have to deal with it on vacation as well.

Marine,

Oh.......didn't realize you are a Caucasion. Go ahead and stop over anyway. There's plenty of security and they must check their guns at the desk.(lol) Seriously, they behave here, unlike some others. Also consider the Golden Nuggett. Classy downtown joint and inexpensive.
