I have a friend who lost most of one of his betting accounts money. A bet was placed that he never placed.

This was about 2 weeks ago. He doesn't bet on the sport the bet went on. It was a hacker.

Serious question has this happened to anyone else here ?

Not to me, but serious question, what's the motivation of a hacker to place a bet for you?

If they got into your account wouldn't they try to make a withdrawal, not a wager? Unless they are just looking to mess with you, don't see why a hacker would even bother.

There would be no reason I can assume for a guy to hack into a computer to place a bet. How is he going to collect if he wins?
I was an agent for a while and this was a fairly common excuse.

Some interesting posts. Yeah fair call he could be talking chit.
That part I have never discounted! Just wondered how common it was.

You guys are right hackers are probably more concerned with physically getting their hands on money, than simply spending someones winnings that they will get nothing out of other than thrills.

I take it the bet "loss"

otherwise i am sure he would not have gave a shit.

i have told my book repeatedly, that all my losing bets were not made by me.

I only win,

I am a winner period.

they have yet refunded any of my losses. damn them.
