I have been looking for cause of death & the only thing that I can find is that he died from the flu....
I know older people can die from this, but someone who was 57 seems too young....

Medics arrived 9:43..found prince unresponsive. .tried cpr...ME pronounced him dead at 10:07. Still no cod.
So did Prince actually have AIDS? We don?t have an answer, but we?re not the only ones who think that?s a likelihood. Just last week, BlindGossip posted a blind item about a popular African American celebrity.

We just received word that a VERY popular African American celebrity ? who has recently been in the news ? now has what is being described as AIDS. Obviously since we are not able to 100% confirm the story ? we?re going to leave it as a Blind Item. We want to make it clear we are NOT talking about Magic Johnson.
This report really hurt our heart.
According to a person extremely close to the situation, the celebrity, who is known for having a very extreme sexual past reportedly contracted the illness sometime in the 1990s. He kept the illness quiet but began taking his medication religiously up until about 2 years ago. Here?s what we?re told by a VERY trusted entertainment insider:
[The celebrity] believed that he was cured, and he had some crazy [religious] people who told him that God cured him. So he stopped taking his medication and the sickness came back. Now doctors say he?s dying, and there is nothing anyone can do about it.
We?re told that the celebrity is expected to get sicker and sicker, and eventually pass. It can happen as soon as the summer.
Very sad news.

Prince was treated for a drug overdose 6 days before his death ... multiple sources tell TMZ.
We broke the story ... Prince's private jet made an emergency landing in Moline, Illinois last Friday, hours after he performed in Atlanta. At the time his reps said he was battling the flu ... something we questioned because his plane was only 48 minutes from home before the unscheduled landing.
Multiple sources in Moline tell us, Prince was rushed to a hospital and doctors gave him a "save shot" ... typically administered to counteract the effects of an opiate.
Our sources further say doctors advised Prince to stay in the hospital for 24 hours. His people demanded a private room, and when they were told that wasn't possible ... Prince and co. decided to bail. The singer was released 3 hours after arriving and flew home.
We're told when Prince left he "was not doing well."
We know authorities in Minnesota are trying to get the hospital records from Moline to help determine cause of death.
We have made more than a dozen attempts to reach Prince's reps for comment, but they went radio silent.

His last concert in Atlanta he said "don't say any prayers for me yet...wait a few days".......after reading all of this he most likely was sick and was dying and was trying to take his own life when he overdosed. I doubt they tell the public everything they find in the autopsy. Probably cover it up with something. They'll do their best to try not have him go out like that if it is indeed AIDS

He may have had AIDS, I don't know but if he did it's not what killed him. People dying with full blown AIDS aren't singing concerts and riding around on bikes days before death. Just doesn't happen, AIDS is a much slower, drawn out death.

He had epilepsy. The flu shot could very well have been the cause of death as it is not supposed to be administered to epileptics.
Doesn't much matter to me how or why died, just sad to see him go

I went to Paisley Park on Friday night it was somber but also a bit of celebration. There are tons of flowers and purple balloons. Someone creatively weaved a white string into the black chain link fence spelling the words purple rain. His family ordered pizza and had staff members walking around passing out pizza to anyone that wanted it. There were literally thousands that came. They also passed out stuff from concerts like tee shirts and tapes and albums covers.
In downtown Minneapolis at First Avenue the had huge parties in the club and in the street until sunrise. I wish I was 25 again I would have been right in the middle of it.
Prince has a special for me because he always remained loyal to,his minnesota roots. From a strictly pure talent standpoint he is near the top. Not many do everything like Prince: write the music, lyrics, play all of the instruments and perform the songs. It will be a long time before another artist will come along that will be this big again. I can't think of any current artists that in 20 years will have been as influential and unique as Prince.
