Maybe a double-edged sword? Perhaps, but like you also said, it is the move away from unique matchup lines that is the most frustrating development

You are so correct Stan.Not only have they went to clone matches but are having many of repeated matches week after week.
I did not mean 2 edge sword as detrimental cause without stats they would have all the data and us none,I was refering to that I have noticed that as your stats have become sharper they are referring to them more where previously those they used were not as sharp. I much prefer a level playing field to them holding all the cards.
Now if we could get them to adjust their lines to those of other sports.
