Have any of you gone through this before????

Okay, here's my situation.....

I spent half the season studying my own trend and system that rarely ever loses 2 days in a row, and I decide to put money on my games now that I'm confident with my studying that I won't lose two days in a row, and guess what happens, it suddenly loses 3 days in a row and it scares me and I lay off of figuring the trend or system is going to start going the opposite direction or the first half of the season was a fluke, however, I pick my teams just for the hell of it another week just to see what would have happened if I kept putting money on my games....and guess what happens, it hits 6 out of the 7 days and would have won me a lot of money, but because I laid off, I didn't win any money at all, and on top of that....I'm down money cause of those three losing days I did bet the money. DAMN!!! It just happen to me for the first time and I'm sick.

Have any of you gone through this before???? If so...what was your situation???

3 days doesnot make a losing streak in baseball,i say after your 5 stright day then you are on one,3 days could be a day or 2 of bad breaks or a team not showing up to play, but 5 days you have had 1 complete 3-4 game ser. and into the 2nd. its at that point where you should look to see where you are going wrong good luck. and hang in there.

I do realize that anyone can lose 3 days in a row,,,it has happened a lot, but what makes this so sick is that my system NEVER...i mean NEVER has lost even 2 days in a row in the WNBA through the entire first half of the season, but when I did put money on my games, it suddenly loses 3 days in a row, which has NEVER happen with my system in wnba this year.....so that shocked me...and then scared me not to bet money on it anymore. That's why losing three days in this particular situation was really sick.

they key word is scared,if you bet like that it will effect your thoughts and thats not good,all systems have set backs at times it the law of avg. there is no way getting around that but if it is solid it will payoff in the end and be able to withstand the law of avg.

Man, looks like folks are getting a little edgy, probably brought about due to the anxiety of the upcoming NFL regular season.

As to your original question Hello There (HT), it sounds like you found a system and based on that system it sounds like perhaps you engaged in some form of increasing your bets after a loser. In any event, systems like what you described earlier aren't really systems, they are only descriptions of historical events and usually have no value in attempting to predict the future. As far as ditching the system and then finding out it would have selected a high percentage of winners - there probably isn't a gambler alive who hasn't experienced that in one form or another.

One thing you'll hear preached by the good cappers in these forums is consistency and patience. It's the main reason most people lose money in sports gambling I think. This is NOT an easy way to make money, that for should.
