#6 Long Story Short(6-1 ml)-- It's not often that I will make a play on an 0 for 18 Maiden but this horse has never gotten the chance to run in the stretch on turf. The comment line on her last race hopefully will deter some of the public money as it reads- tracked inside faded and she finished last. If you care to watch the replay of that race please go to the Hawthorne website and watch it. She broke very well and saved ground the entire trip and then was bottled up on the rail in the stretch and never could even run a lick. She had some trouble 2 races back at Arlington where she had to steady in the lane and then finished very well to gain 3rd place. She has improved on turf compared to dirt and synthetic and only had a handful of tries on the turf and Janks reaches for the leading rider at Hawthorne in Timmy Thornton. If rained off it is a no play.
