Just thought I'd pass this along. I feel a need to share. It also conveys my thoughts tonight.
Jim Lampley (sp?) is stranded in my small town. Anything less than NYY, CHI, ATL, LA....etc is small.
Jim came here for an October piece for HBO Real Sports. Our national tragedy has left him stranded here.
He's supposed to do two more interviews in SF before heading home to SoCal.
Nice enough to give as much time needed to our local sports radio, drive home show.
He mentioned sports are very trivial right now. Paraphrasing he's words - Stand strong, shoulder to shoulder, behind the United States of America.
I happen to agree, but felt compelled to pass this along.
Food for thought, when several of our own have first hand experiences of this tragedy.
So great to hear Bonovox is alive today. So hard to here Barfly's story. So hard to here the stories of our other fine members.
Glad to hear all sports are off this weekend. This should be a weekend to pray, contemplate, or both about life.
I'm going to stay close to home this weekend, stay in touch with family, none within a 1000 miles, and watch the news concerning our world.
That Iowa/Iowa State game I was going to head to tonight seems so meaningless now.
