ULSTER (-4) vs Cardiff

A must win for both sides having lost lost week. Ulster will beat the Blue and Blacks tonight, with the help of the boot of Irish fly-half David Humphreys, and end Cardiffs European dream for another year.

2 points Ulster(-4) vs Cardiff at 5/6 with Coral

Toulouse (-4) vs Newport

This is possibly Newports biggest game of the season, and they must win to keep any hopes of sliverware alive for this season at least. They have been very disappointing, while although Toulouse are not the force they were in the past, they can come to Newport tonight and grab a victory by at least a try.

1 point win Toulouse (-4) vs Newport at 5/6 with Coral

Bourgoin (-3) vs Llanelli

Bourgoin produced possibly the performance of the tournament in defeating Sale last week. Llanelli will be in the shake up at the end of this tournament but a trip to France on a Friday night is not easy, and Bourgoin will be looking to follow up here against the Scarlets.

1 point win Bourgoin (-3) vs Llanelli at 5/6 with Coral

Good Luck ;)

:D 2/2 for me + I believe 3/3 for Crooky! Nice work ;)

3/3 on season +2.85pts

Posting these now for tomorrow as I believe that after tonights results prices won't last - I've been trying to get on one for the last 10 minutes + keep running into suspended prices.

4pts Montferrand v Swansea (-5) UkBetting 10/11
2pts Biarritz v N'hampton (-5) 5/6 Tote
2pts Beziers v Neath (-4) 10/11 UkBetting

French sides look undervalued on Handicaps this week, although I'm sure it won't last. They've won every game so far + until the books can revise their prices thats where i'll play.

Cheers

Excellent work Hossy!!

Could not agree with you more about the French. They are simply awesome this year. I believe their improved form is down to a strict rule that was imposed on French rugby at the start of the year. In the past the French have tended to put French league rugby of higher importance than European action, but it is widespread in France this year that Europe is the main priority ahead of next years World Cup. I see Biarritz as being strong contenders, while tonight Toulouse were unplayable for parts of that game.

I touched upon the World Cup above, and I would be extremely worried if I was from the Southern Hemisphere. Although my native Welsh will have no chance, England are contenders, and France are looking extremely strong, and I truly believe France can walk away with the Webb Ellis trophy next year!!;)

Bourgoin 54-38 Llanelli
Newport 19-34 Toulouse
Ulster 25-6 Cardiff

Biarritz (-5) vs Northampton

The French side cruised through their win against Cardiff last week without ever needing to reach top gear. Up against one of Englands better teams, they will need to hit top gear, and I believe they can do so and comfortably clear the handicap of a try, which should be a gruelling trip for the Saints.

1 Point Biarritz (-5) vs Northampton at 5/6 with the Tote

Beziers (-4) vs Neath

You will not find a more committed side than the Welsh All Blacks who brought home the money for us last week against Leicester. They have been impressive all season, and are hardly up against one of Frances better teams here. However, they are missing key men in Brett Sinkinson, Allan Bateman and Adrian Durston, and it is a tough ask for them to get a result out in France with so much inexperience at this level.

1 Point Beziers (-4) vs Neath at 10/11 with PaddyPower

That is about it for this weekend....may come back on Sunday with a play in the London Irish game. I do have opinions on Bristol and Perpignan recieving the points tomorrow, but they are not strong enough to be plays.

Good Luck everybody this weekend !! :)

Biarritz 23-20 Northampton

Beziers 21-16 Neath

Two very close calls here, so perhaps fortunate to come away with 1 win/1 loss, although it could quite easily have been another two wins. Northampton were very unlucky in going down to a last minute try, while Neath can be proud of their efforts although losing in France. Should have gone with my instincts and took Bristol and Perpignan with the points, as both proved easy winners. However that is easy to say with hindsight.

That is it now in the Heineken Cup (no play on tomorrows game) until the beginning of December, where we shall look forward to Round Three. I will be monitoring the performance of all the teams in the meanwhile, and hope I can come back and find more winners. I hope anybody who has read has benefited from my forums these last two weeks.

I appreciate that the main theme of this site is US sports, although I hope some of you are willing to take my advice and bet on these games. :p
