I dont really sports bet anymore, but I have posted this poll the last couple years. It has worked both times.

It uses actual voters to predict the winner and collects ballots from people that share them publicly like sports writers.

http://www.heismanprojection.com/

Hopefully it can help some people win some money.

I think it will come down to the Big XII champ game and the UCLA game; whoever performs better; the only way White has a chance is a big game there but Lienhart probably wins it even though probably half the voters have only seem him play twice this year. It should be interesting.
That site is pretty accurate.

With Reggie Bush falling out of the race, Leinart will win this thing easily.

Looks like White and Peterson are splitting votes.

Do any books have any odds on this thing? I dont have any accounts anymore & am curious.

I know when I was in Vegas last year, they said no one took bets on the Heisman.

I once bet the Heisman winner at ...

I once bet the Heisman winner at ...

Betonsports.com

I layed huge odds on Ron Dayne, but this was the only bet I ever made that was a true "Lock"

I assume you can still bet the Heisman on that site, but not sure because I no longer have an account there. They take bets on lots of unusual events.

anyone know the odds on Peterson, he is really making a move in the projection.

I guess they keep seeing him as the #2 spot on the ballot & white/leinart flip between 1 & 3.

That's my understanding. You get 3 points for first, 2 for second, 1 for third & total points wins.

I think we are in for a very interesting heisman announcement.

And with those lines, there is a ton of value in AP & White.

I think there is some place to see what votes are in.

AP 7-1 on a coin toss?

JW 3-1 on a coin toss?

No value in Leinart when it's this close.

just a quick update.

Leinart looks like he may have a little room now. He's projected at 25.6% vs Peterson's 21.6%.

Interesting that the Howard Scripps Heisman poll which has picked 15 of the last 16 correctly has declared White the winner. He's running 3rd in a poll that has 154 ballots.

another accurate web-site: http://heismanpundit.com/

It appears to use many of the same resources as heismanprojection.com. It has the most recent update though, including the release of the 6 Atlants-Constitution voters thatconvincingly voted for Leinart.

The Howard-Scripps poll is WAY TOO unpredictable (despite their success in past years, which I feel is due more to the lack of compettion than actually being accurate). They only poll 2 voters from the 5 regoins.

Based on heismanprojection.com and heismanpundit.com I think its pretty safe to say that Leinart is good money @ 3:1.

I had him at even before UCLA and have maxed out.

from looking at the polls, getting leinart at 3:1 would be a good value.

If you can get peterson at 3:1 or better, it would also be a steal.

It really looks like a close race between the 2.

Meant 1:3 - sorry, wish that was correct.

My wife was walking down the hall, busting balls as I tried to get off-line before she saw what I was up to ... bitch.
