Hell?s Kitchen is heating up for prop bettors
Things are heating up in Hell?s Kitchen and entertainment prop betting fans can get in on the action at betED.com.
The fourth season of the Fox reality show is down to six contestants, who are vying to become executive chef at host Gordon Ramsay?s new restaurant in Los Angeles.
betED.com has a number of wagers for celebrity prop bettors to choose from: Will the winner of Hell?s Kitchen be male (+150) or female (-210); and will the winner be a member of the Blue Team (+145) or Red Team (-190).
Or if you want to bet on the individual winner of Hell?s Kitchen, Christina is the favorite at -110, followed by Corey (+125), and Bobby (+750).
On the ninth episode Tuesday night, one-time favorite Louross of the Blue Team was eliminated from the competition. And Ramsay switched contestants Matt and Jen back to their original teams, again making the competition a battle of the sexes, pitting men against women.
The winner of the cooking competition will earn a coveted senior chef position at Chef Ramsay?s new restaurant, Gordon Ramsay at the London West Hollywood, which is scheduled to open in summer 2008.
Hell?s Kitchen is a spinoff of the original British show, with a red team and a blue team competing in various cooking challenges for most of the season. Eventually, it becomes two chefs competing against each other for the top prize.
Each episode includes a team or individual challenge; the winning chef or player may get a reward, while the losing team or players are required to perform some kitchen duty in preparation for the dinner service. During dinner service, teams are responsible for preparing food to Ramsay's very demanding taste and appearance requirements as well as within a limited time frame.
After the dinner service, Ramsay will select the winning team who may get an additional reward, and then will select the best player on the losing team to make a decision about which two fellow teammates to nominate for elimination.
