The matchup of the last 2 national champs may not be as exciting as it seems. Syracuse is ABSOLUTELY a one trick pony with McNamara, and Maryland has too much atleticism to allow him to go off for 40 points here, and that's the only was SU would have been able to stay within double digits of this red hot Maryland team. Remember Maryland was seeded BEFORE the ACC tourny was finished so the bracket committee (if they would have actually waited for the games to finish before drawing up! brackets) would have seeded MD higher than a 4 seed, deservingly so as they hav rattled off 6 straight wins against some very good ACC competition including the ACC tourny. CHAMPS. Good thing is the strength of the play, bad part is that I am NOT a Maryland fan.
