and I like MMA.

Okay, enough with the self-entertainment.

I just got interested in MMA again after my trip to Vegas. Used to love watching Royce Gracie, but I haven't been interested in it for a long while.

I just rented UFC 66. Pretty awesome all the way around. I'm going to just keep watching the succeeding DVDs until I either get sick of it or get caught up.

Couple thoughts on this old event:

That Gonzaga dude is scary-good.
I don't know what made Liddel so great. I know some guys have heavy hands, but I just didn't see how he ran his record to 20-3 (at that point) with his style....and seeing some of the other cats that are out there.

Looking forward to seeing more of these.

set your dvr for ufc unleashed. It come on several times a week and has several good fights from old UFC events. Entertaining especially if you haven't been keeping up with the sport.

Clint: I don't have DVR. What channel has it?

I just rented UFC 67 & 68.

It's on Spike. I think this would be a better way to catch up because they have compilations of the best fights from each UFC.

Boxing is a dead man walking...

Thanks Jason.

Watching UFC 67 right now.

Hazelett v Saraiva: Hazelett looks tough, but he is fighting at 155 and has a huge advantage in reach over Saraiva...but also appears to be a better ground fighter. Fight went the distance and that might be a testament to how good Saraiva is.

Machida vs Hoger: Hoger looks like a big brawler, but Machida is a better fighter and very quick. Machida has incredible fighting instincts and just outclassed Hoger.

For the record: I know I am discussing od news, but I'm going to use this for reference later.

gmro...if you`re looking to use this knowledge for wagering purposes,i would skip ahead a bit...it`s gonna take way to much of your time trying to watch 30 odd ufc cards to try and get up to snuff...

you could maybe start 10 or 15 cards back to see most of these guys as they are presently and shoot over to "fight finder" to pull up guy`s records..

http://www.sherdog.com/stats/

it`s an excellent tool...just make sure you try and enter the name precisely when you`re looking a guy up...if you see any guys on a person`s record that you want to know more about, just click on the name..

and don`t forget to "youtube" guys that you want to research..lots of bouts on youtube...

you can find rankings at:...http://www.mmaweekly.com/absolutenm/templates/topten.asp?articleid=16&zoneid=15

so you`ll have an idea who might be relevant and worth brushing up on...

Thanks Weasel. I'm not watching them just for wagering purposes, but entertainment too.

I'm definitely going to check out those sites.

Mehh, Gonzaga has no heart...when he gasses, he's a different fighter. He also doesn't like being the one attacked(see Werdum/Couture).

Chuck ran his record because he's always been a very percise striker. A counter striker at that. I mean, most fighters in the LHW division are guys who are willing to stand and bang, and Chuck has been fortunate enough that in the past guys were too dumb to engage wildly with him.

ps...FEAR WANDERLEI!!!

Well I already gave Penn my opinions.....of course I ran away after I told him off.....:mj07:

Now if I can get him in an elevator like I did Gonzaga, I will mind fu*k him like a 16 year old boy at a brothel.

Oh and GSP says hi to all the madjackers...except Bucs.
