On the course!
Back from "sunny" Las Vegas!

Yeah, right! 60 muther-luvin' degrees the first two days there, and slightly higher the next three! Never took a swim, hardly took a walk outside with shorts on.....bad!

Got in some golf though, so it wasn't all bad.

Fletch, and S-Capper.....tried too hard to cram 10 pounds of shit in a 5 pound bag, so never got around to trying to hook up. Never did half the things we said we would, or saw half the things we wanted to see.......same as every trip out there!

Lost at the tables in the worst way possible. Was never ahead of the game. Sat with my buddy at every table, and watched him win over and over, while I got slapped! Funny how cards are. We both play the same way, but he was always in the right seat!

Got to see the snatch parade every night as the lovely lasses sashayed past the tables enrout to Studio 54. (Sadly, fake tits and fake personalities never did much for me.)

I think the city, overall, has become too garish and overwhelming for me. It seemed to have lost some of the hold it has always had on me.....some of the charm. Very few of the dealers were friendly, the crowd was too hurried......it held less fun for me than in the past.

I would have had a better time if I could have lounged poolside during the day, and gambled more during the wee hours of the morning, when fewer souls were clawing for space at the tables. (It was crowded as hell!) The best times I had, were at the little chicken shit joints where people seemed less serious and more out to have fun!

I played for a lousy hour and a half at the Barbary Coast for $10-$25 a hand, with some hands slightly higher, and got comped to two steak dinners. (Never used, due to the fact that the doorks I was with didn't want to wait 45 minutes to eat!) At the MGM, where I was staying, a $25 bet gets you a seat at the table, and that's all! That place was too "highbrow" for a mid-western schlub like me!

But, we managed to have some fun!

The best things in life, truely are for free!

It was fun when we were walking around outside to see people taking pictures of their loved ones in front of the local landmarks. One of my buddies and I would jump into the picture, and put our arms around the people in the shot! It never once failed to get a laugh from the peaople involved, and they always snapped the picture!

Another fun one, was to see a couple of nice looking gals walking and ask them, "Ladies. Could you help us out with a picture?"

They would say "yes" assuming we meant for them to snap a picture of us, but instead, three of us would put our arms around the girls while the fourth guy took the picture!

This, too, was always met with a yuk! Inexpensive fun, and a great time!

Well, now I'm back in Wisconsin where it is warm, so I will see you all on the pages of MJ's!

Fletch,

I'm about 80% sure I'll get there for the SB party this season, so I'll get to schmooze with you guys at that time!
