im tryna track down a hard to find softball bat - thats right, just a softball bat

http://phoenix.craigslist.org/cph/spo/5575261240.html

theres one located in AZ; phoenix apparently - on craigslist

i called the guy (sounded like a kid) and he was all kindsa reluctant about accepting paypal, or even allowing me paying additional, to cover cost of would be shipping

i figured id reach out here, see if anyone in the area --thats close enough to go get for me, and i'll happily pay in advance, cover whatever shipping to me would be (cost), as well, as a procurement fee --if wanna call it that

sounds a bit convoluted, but the bat looks in good shape, is just across the country

let me know if anyone in the AZ area might be willing to possibly help fella on east coast.

This is the most bizarre coincidence possible. This is my last day of a 4 month stint in PHX. I'm hitting the road tomorrow and eventually ending up on east coast. I can try to do this for you - and If you don't mind waiting a month I could even deliver it to Boston. Get my phone from jack and send me text.

I'm going lots of places - anybody else need a bat, please let me know.

Speaking of which, we gotta get this plan in place chop-chop. I'm leaving tomorrow!
Anxiously awaiting a message with instructions. I'll contact the seller now and make sure they still have it.

im on lookout for an old school softball bat

maker of it is Rip-It - bat name is reaper.

they're good bats if can get hands on - mind you, looking for old -discontinued- models, (with white barrel), for slowpitch, having an ASA approved sticker on it

i found a guy selling one, the reap5 on ebay, but just missed out on (someone used buy it now option)

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Rip-it-reaper-5-new-34-28-/222146537281?

theres a fairly used one here on ebay

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Rip-it-reaper-bat-28-ounces-/201598184646

i'll still end up making an offer on this, though the one listed in AZ (see below) had substantially less wear, and was cheaper

someone just today posted another, with fair amount of wear, though a lighter weighted one (27) and id prefer 28 and up. i threw down a bid on this too for hell of it

http://www.ebay.com/itm/RIP-IT-Reap...270358?hash=item1c68703cd6:g:4dMAAOSwbYZXWiMR

though this was the one, that looked to be priced right, with the least amount of wear, hence my trying to get in touch with guy and seeing if still had. i left a couple messages and he did call me back, but was super reluctant on having me send him a prepaid tube to ship back to me, along with payment however he preferred (even offering cash through mail). lo and behold, he did call me back, but said would not sell to anyone not handing bat over to, for cash, and thats where smurphy woulda came in, had the fella contacted me back, once i passed along notice i had someone who would go get for me.

kinda crazy, i know.

these bats are right up there with Nike's Cage Grip footballs, which i had kickserv looking to see if carried at some discount tire warehouse.
