Do you judge one on blowing smoke or their actions??
----and I see why Kerry put the # of "rich" at over 200,000--the most amusing aspect is the left accuse Bush of being the dummy--yet Kerry's can barely bust the $130,000 :)

Kerry's returns from 1995 and earlier, before his marriage to Heinz, have sometimes attracted criticism over the issue of charitable giving. In 1995, according to published reports, Kerry reported a taxable income of $126,179, and charitable contributions of $0. In 1994, he reported income of $127,884, and charitable donations of $2,039. In 1993, he reported income of $130,345, and contributions of $175. In 1992, he reported income of $127,646, and contributions of $820. In 1991, he reported income of $113,857, and contributions of $0.

As far as Bush is concerned, in 1991, the future president, then a private citizen, reportedly had income of $179,591, and charitable contributions of $28,236. In 1992, Bush reported income of $212.313, and contributions of $31,914. In 1993, Bush reported income of $610,772, and contributions of $31,292. In 1994, Bush reported income of $474,937 and in 1995, income of $419,481. Published reports at that time did not list Bush's charitable contributions for those two years.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++
added note of interest--While the above proves Kerry's "charitable attitude" prior to marriage to women noted for chartible work-- lets see how the chamleon flip flops once married--as he donates $14,325 to charity in 1996---hmmm did he have change of attitude--or---was he protecting his marriage interest

With home ownerships at all time high maybe Kerry can afford to buy his own home for a change.;)

oops almost forgot.
Cheney received almost 8 MILLION in stocks options from Haliburton in 2000--and gave "ALL" to charity.

That's an awful lot of question marks in your post there Saltman.

Didn't say there was a problem with it. I just said that my guess would be that all of that money went to his church. Settle down.

---and while on the issue of Kerry's earning's potential --lets step into the crime pays area. Prior to their millions earned through various means while in whitehouse and after appears the "intellectual" Clintons were not too prolific on earning potentials either in the privite sector--

"The Clintons reported a gross income of $268,646 on their 1990 federal income tax return, up from $197,651 in 1989. Most of the income came from Hillary's law practice. ($105,771 in 1990, $92,444 in 1989.) "

----and you wonder why so many attorneys get into politics ;)
