I went in LARGE which should have alerted them as they are very sharp with size of wagers.

Well, in hind sight, maybe that line wasn't as bad as we thought, LOL!!!!

BB, I trust that you were refunded your money prior to this match going off, saving you lots of money. It was an obvious error. I think when I checked prior to the match Pinny had changed the same prop to +1200 on the No. Man, who would have guessed that Henman would put Chela away that easily? :shrug:

Like I said earlier, I truly hope your money was spared.

Obvious error. I wouldn't blame any book that would grade it a loss when people try to take shots like that.

Yes I received an e-mail from Pinnacle early this morning UK time. It was posted as an error and I was asked if I wanted -900 which I declined.

Money was refunded but for my record of bets I will count it as a loser as I posted the play, (please see community pages).

Error on behalf of books or not, I can say that there has been many an occassion when books have made errors (although probably not as glaring as this one) and my wager has been accepted and I have been paid out if I won and my stake has been lost if it lost.

I remember last soccer season when Liverpool played Celtic and a UK bookmaker posted +650 that either Liverpool or Celtic would not score. This was a game decided by the combinded score of a two game series. This price should have been around -200 as it gave the bettor four chances that they would not score in one of the two games. (Liverpool game 1 and 2 and Celtic game 1 and 2).

After several days of not hearing anything from the bookmaker I e-mailed them to see if the odds were correct as I noted the line had moved to -170. I was told that an error had been made, however my wager would stand.

It wager won and I was 6.5 times richer to my stake.


IT IS NEVER STUPID NOT TO WAGER ON THESE MISTAKES AS IT IS SURPRISING HOW MANY TIMES THE BOOKS WILL HONOUR YOUR BET AND NOT VOID IT. I AM NOT SAYING IT HAPPENS EVERYTIME OR 50% OF THE TIME BUT LOOKING OVER MY BETTING RECORD I HAVE NOTED THAT WHEN A CLEAR ERROR HAS BEEN MADE BY THE SPORTSBOOKS MY BETS HAVE BEEN ACCEPTED 5 TIMES OUT OF THE 18 OCCASSIONS I HAVE TRIED. THATS 27.8%, ALOT MORE THAN MOST WOULD THINK IS POSSIBLE.
