Hey guys, new to the board...

Just wanted to say hi, I'm Mike. Not a big better, just a new college grad having some fun really. I like to analyze, just dont have the flow to make any big bets. Just $20-$50 a shot.

My picks this week are modest:

I like Syracuse and West Virginia.

On a side note, I WOULD bet on Duke against MY alma mater, Miami getting 35. But I learned a few years ago to never bet on your own school. I love the Canes and hope they win by 50, but being a season ticket holder and not missing a home game for 7 years (undergrad and MBA school) id definately take Duke, our offense is terrible this year.

As far as the Canes go, I sure hope so. I love my school but I made a rookie mistake a few year ago (2003) taking the Canes something like -4@Va Tech and we lost 31-7 (thanks to Berlin's 3 Int's and 2 pick 6's). There was no way in my heart and mind that my Canes could lose. Well, I learned that you can't bet that way, so I steer way from them now.

Welcome - I typically don't post to often. I'll give you a bit of advice. Do your own hadicapping and then use this site as a sounding board and reference point. too many rely on the board for picks. I like Volfan as he reminds me of myself. When he's hot (currently is) he's hot and when he's cool he's cool. Bet more when winning and less when not. Good luck on your two picks tomorrow!

Well, I dont bet just to bet. I try to find games and teams I understand and know about. Being a Miami fan and very familiary with the Big East still, I feel more comfortable betting on those teams then I do, say, the Big 12.
