I know this doesn't relate to sports, but has anyone in here ever got the virus "Spyware" on their computer?? Well, I got it on mine last night and I have had the WORST day today. I had to format my entire computer and lose every file I had. I was doing this shit all day long on the phone with tech people, so I couldn't post any plays. I actually didn't even play anything today. Anyways, just curious if anyone had to go through that B.S. before....I believe I got the virus through the internet, not the e-mail. Hope everyone made money today!! See you tomorrow!

Never heard of that specific one, RS, but I've had Spyware on my and family systems before, and it can wreak havok on system resources, etc...glad to see it worked out ok in the end for you!

this topic has been discussed from time to time...i am sure one of our resident teckys can explain it to you...

i believe the pernicious spyware gets logged in the registry and changes things... causing all the problems..

hopefully someone will help you..

When I had dial-up connection, there was no problem. Within a week of DSL, I got the SPYWARE virus. I too had to reformat my entire hard-drive. I now use ZONE ALARM, and it has been great.
