I think it's going to be a another Rock-n-Roll weekend.I do appreciate the nice compliments I have recieved from some of you,as those who have been going with me the last few weeks can testify,we have been pretty hot.59 units the last month alone with the majority of our plays being 3 and 4 unit wagers.I love the card this week and have already made 3 plays for fear the line may go against me if I wait. I'm going to post them now with a few of the details why.I was hesitant to give details as a couple of other poster's here would rather argue than benefit. So if you don't like'em,FADE'EM!!!

Tampa Bay -4 vs. Atlanta No doubt Vick is the most electrifying player in the NFL now.But in my opinion, the Falcon's are too one-dimensional.The Buc's defense has shown me they are the most physical defense in the league. They have tremendous speed and will not allow one player to beat them. The fact that this game is outdoors, even neutralizes Vick more. The dome team playing outdoors is a big time angle here.To me the strongest obstacle for the Falcon's, there going to play their 3rd game in a row on the road ,and 4 of their last 5. That is a tough proposition. To make things even tougher the buc's have played 4 of their last five at home, with the exception of last week's loss on national tv to the Saint's.They were swept by the Saint's this year and I guarantee you they aren't real happy about it. These teams are in the same division, with first place on the line and the Buc's will take this game serious,.BIG TIME.This to me is a classic example of one team determined to win (Buc's)the other hoping to(Atlanta).

Seattle +3 vs. Philadelphia I have watched the last 2 games the Eagles have played. In a word, amazement. The defense has played tough and absolutely dominated. I do believe though, there is a big difference in a 3rd team QB, playing at home, against a banged up team and going on the road to play a team who looks to be improving to me.At first glace you see Seattle as having a sub-par defense. Well that just is not so. Statistics show them in the middle of the pack. But at further inspection you see the overwhelming majority of the points allowed vs some very tough offenses. They have played San Fran 2x , Oakland,St. Louis,(when they werwe playing well),Denver and Kansas city. I also love Mike Holgren calling plays against this Eagle defense. He loves challenges like this. Also with 3 divisional oppenents up next for Philly (Wash,Dallas,Giants).I see this "sandwich game" as a real opporunity for Seattle to upset them.I know Philly has a great defense. But you can not depend on a shut-out week after week.Seattle will show them that.

Buffalo +4 1/2 vs New England I don't make play's based on revenge. This series has been super competitve before the Bledsoe trade. I saw the last game between these two teams and it was a classic example of one team could do no wrong, and one could do nothing right.Brady had the best game of his career.Buffalo showed me alot last week,by not folding when they went down early to Miami. They stayed very composed and I was impressed with the defense as they shut down Miami in the second half.I have to think the Bill's will rally around Bledsoe in this contest and give a maximum effort. Not to mention the fact that after last week they are back in the division race.I think 4 1/2 points in this game is way to generous. If the game were on a neutral field I have Buffalo favored.Take the points...

Tampa Bay -4 5 units
Seattle + 3 5 units
Buffalo + 4 1/2 3 units

NO I am not parlay-ing, tease-ing,moneyline-ing
JUST CASH-ING

MJBird: Absolutely love the Tampa play. Saw the Falcons last week in Minny and they are truly one dimensional. The Bucs clearly have the speed at linebacker to contain VICK. The Bucs are a dominant defense and Atlanta doesn't have the receivers or the running game (especially with Dunn hurt) to open the game up for Vick.

I really like Vick and feel he will be a bigger force when/if Atlanta get some quality at WR and he learns to throw the NFL ball better (many of his passes were severely misguided against MN).

Like your Seattle play, they are playing well enough to keep this game close and Philly has offense problems to go along with the travel issue.

Along with those two, I am leaning toward St. Louis (hoping the line continues in my favor and Tennesee at home vs. INdy.

Not sure about BUF/NE, think the over 44.5 is the play....weather permitting.

I agree with the TB pick, the Bears have a great linebacking core and the contained Vick pretty well, granted the game was early in the season and ATL should have won the game, but still they kept him in check, I think Tampa will do the same.

c20916--The Bears did a great job on Vick--if I remember correctly Urlacher had one job and that was to stop Vick. The Falcons running game was not what it is now, though.

BBMF--Of course the Falcons were one-dimensional last week after Dunn went out with an ankle injury. Their team depends heavily on both Dunn and Duckett to be running. On an average day, this team is nowhere close to being one-dimensional. This last week was the second worst game I have seen him play this season, but everyone is going to have bad games. If you could see him week in and week out, his passes are rarely off the mark. He only has 3 interceptions this year--that's one less than anyone else in the league. In second, Mark Bulger with 107 less pass attempts than Vick. Don't mean to rant about Vick, but I keep hearing that he can't throw the ball and that the Falcons are one-dimensional. I think the only reason everyone says that is because the Falcons don't have big name receivers and all of the press hovers around Vick.

The reason they won the game in MN was not because of Vick. It was because their defense gave their offense the ball at MN's 45 in OT. A short field in OT is almost a guaranteed victory in the NFL.

FALCONS TEAM STATISTICS
PTS YDS RUSH PASS
OFFENSE 26.3 343.1 154.5 188.6
DEFENSE 17.6 326.8 121.3 205.6

I don't really see this as one-dimensional. Now, I do agree that Vick is the spotlight, but that should be okay.

Rushing stats:

NAME ATT YDS AVG TD FUM LST
Michael Vick 80 648 8.1 8 4 3
Warrick Dunn 160 627 3.9 6 3 2
T.J. Duckett 114 451 4.0 4 0 0
Bob Christian 25 95 3.8 3 0 0
Travis Jervey 10 17 1.7 0 1 0
Doug Johnson 8 16 2.0 1 0 0
Totals 397 1854 4.7 22 8 5

Now, it is very odd that a QB leads his team in rushing yardage, but this is a pretty nice team effort if you ask me. Tampa won the battle in the beginning of the season, but this is a team that is very confident right now with Vick at the healm. I will not be playing either side of this game due to the fact that they are both strong teams with opposing strengths. It should be a very fun game to watch. Sapp is in bad light currently, but I think he and Vick are the two most fascinating players to watch in the league. I can't wait until Sunday!

Good luck to all!

I know that was Urlacher's main job, and I know there run game wasnt' what it was now, but I think TB can do the same thing, the only difference is the Bucs have a much better front 4 than the bears do to hlep out with the LB spying Vick.

I am leaing towards the bucs, but it will probably be a no play and will just be a good game to watch.

Hey Dawg, I appreciate the input,I agree Vick is not terrible as a passer. As a matter of fact I believe he may have the strongest arm in the NFL.I do believe they are one-dimensional this week in particular,To be honest NO-dimensional.That's not taking anything away from Vick. I'm crediting the Bucs' defense in that statement.I can't think of another team besides the eagles, that can totally dominate a game.Vick for the most part can just take over most games,I think vs. this defense that's asking to much. The are BIG,PHYSICAL,and FAST.I 'm not trying to be a fortune teller, but if he finishes this game,I will be surprised.Tampa's not only physical in the D-line and linebacker positions, their secondary is awesome. If this wasn't a crucial divisional game, and had they not lost last week, I would not be as high on them. But they will be up,and it's been my experience that when a GREAT defense gets challenged. They do answer the call. After all the hype Vick's heroics created by the media last week, and the Buc's seeing and hearing about what a great QB Vick is,I know they will want to prove a point. And I think they will.BIG-TIME.

Also don't get to sold on those Dog's this week,These HOG's just may surprise some people, but that is another thread.

DAWG: I have watched Vick all year and I agree he does have a great arm. Heck, on one play against Minny he took the snap at the ATL 35 dropped back threw the ball from inside the 30 and it went out of the end zone -over 80 yards. All I could say at the game was WOW! I only feel he is the main cog in their offense and, if you can neutralize him, you can beat Atlanta. I believe the Bucs with their great team speed can do this. To me Tampa is the play.

I certainly look forward to seeing Vick in many more games in what I believe will be a great career. He is truly a unique and amazing talent. I hope ATL gets some quality receivers for him soon!

I am adding one total for the early games. For details on the three early plays read the initial post. I am taking the Bills-Patriot game to go over 45 for 2 units. To recap play's:

Tampa Bay -4 5 units (I wish I had waited,it's 3 1/2 now)
Seattle + 3 5 units
Buffalo +4 1/2 3 units
Buffalo over 45 2 units

I'll be back if I have any additions:cool:
