Kick,
quick question I was wondering if you could answer.....some of us americans not lucky enough to be canadians are not allowed to use pinnacle anymore..without giving too much away, .is there methods where a us citizen can open up a candian bank account, thus make bank wires to/from pinnacle? that would be tremendous....i think i found somewhere but im not 100% sure how to do it....considering pinny has 8 cent lines and every other book besides 5dimes has 20 cent lines, its huge difference, plus they are so financially stable.....if you dont want to post it on here (i asked in vague enough terms :SIB ) get my email from jack :toast: i figure all it takes is some ID and whatever, but i dont know for sure? Thanks bud, good luck w/pucks ive been lurking in there

Feel free to ask Jack for my e-mail if you want........

Anyway.....as of a while ago it was no problem at all for an American to open a bank account in Canada. My ex (who is American) did it with no problems. Maybe the laws have changed, but I doubt it.

The bank she used was TD Canada Trust (a huge bank that is all over Canada). Took her about 5 minutes to set up an account. I use 2 non sponsors that are open to Canadians and not Americans but I have never done a bank wire so can't really help out on that end. Ewalletxpress is something I do use (great for Canadian banks) at 5dimes and others, I would suggest that.

Of course you would have to go to the branch in person to open the account.

Also it wouldn't hurt to call the bank directly. I have used TD Canada Trust since 1981, but as I said any major bank would do. Anyway here is their website:

http://www.tdcanadatrust.com/index.jsp

Can call em at 1 866 222 3456

Hope that info helps:shrug:

kick, great stuff, exactly what i was looking for :toast: going to check into it over the coming weeks........when you say go to the branch in person, dumb question but do you mean i have to go to canada to physically open the account? I was hoping to do hsbc or citi (where i bank in us) their canadian branch and do it that way, but i guess that doesnt work....EWallet sounds better than bank wiring thats for sure, never been a hugie bank wire fan....of course, getting the money from canada bank acct to us bank acct w/o raising red flags is another hassle, but one thing at a time  god, it's hard enough picking winners, sorting out this banking and payout stuff shouldnt be this difficult it sucks

wait a second AL, lemme see if i'm reading this correctly (i'm not knowledgable on this topic)......you're saying bookmaker asked you for a utility bill? thats ridiculous, I thought that the bank in canada needs a few forms of ID to open an account and then the book would just withdraw to it as long as it was in canada, I guess I am wrong? Obviously bookmaker is fine since they are US so you have no issue....Are you sure pinnacle asks for utility bills? as i said before, this just angers me as having to pick winners is hard enough and to have to worry about all this stuff just flat out sucks, there has gotta be a way to get around it though, maybe i'm missing something  is asking for utility bills standard operating procedure on payouts? Ive never been asked by wsex, havent got a payout from 5 dimes yet so not sure on them, betjm or anyone else

Sorry AL, took that as you saying they will ask, my mistake.........Well, if they asked for a utility bill you (meaning me or whoever was in the situation) would be f'ed....I wonder if you could find out in advance from pinny if they asked for that? I'm surprised Bookmaker asked you for a utility bill, even if you deposit by check fedex they still ask? strange, youd think an address is enough..thats ridiculous, what if someone lives with parents, friends, or rents, or is undocumented and doesnt have their name on a bill

This guy wouldn't get up off the couch if you paid him in pussy. You think he's going to Canada to open a bank account?

:mj07: :mj07: I didnt realize you had to go to canada, in light of that you are correct, No I would not go there to open a bank account....But, laying -104 on every bet instead of -110 is a huge difference, sir...of course if you pick losers it doesnt mean jack shit anyway :sadwave:

AL.....:mj07: relax........I thought, that lets say I had a citibank US account which I do, that I can establish a citibank canada account with the same documentation etc etc.....of course i wasnt thinking when i typed that, as you obviously cant do it all on the phone....Here's the BOTTOM LINE to this whole thread and idea I asked......Can you go to canada as an american, set up a canadian bank account, wire funds to it from a us account, and then deposit into pinnacle? And, would you then be able to withdraw from pinnacle to your canadian account, and then back to your american account? I assume this would all work, this is the question I originally asked :mj06: sounds confusing I guess, but wasnt meant to be

Well ummm....yes you would have to go to the bank in person......

But I suppose you could try going to an HSBC branch in the USA, but I doubt that would work. I guess it is worth a try:confused:

Right Kick.....Well you answered my main question earlier, that YES it can be done opening canadian bank acct from the US.....since AL mentioned it earlier, do you (or have you heard of?) anyone getting asked for a utility bill from Pinnacle upon cashing out? If yes, that would be a problem for an american resident...But if asking for an ewallet cashout to a canadian bank account, I cant imagine they would hassle someone, am I right? thanks again for shedding some light bud

Hmm....well I know you've mentioned playing with bet jm, 5 dimes and the like, so thats good they dont ask (i havent gotten payouts from them so good to hear that)....reason i wanted to use pinny again was the reduced vig which makes ahuge difference....either way no big deal, i'll figure it out when the time comes... this banking stuff gives me a headache!
