Seems like most don't even want to hint at the possibility but there has to be a but ...? He is a phenom ? No doubt.. Is he also a physical, mental and natural aberration ? No doubt. Yes he is the best of all times or close to it but with the extent of his injuries that we are now hearing about, he has had to have had some help along the way to maintain and even play in the US open he just won. Just look at the guy . Tiger reminds me of of looking at ball players in the mid 80's. I watched Tiger as an amature make the shots and play the game that He is playing now but..... Look at the body. Is it possible ? Yes... Is it probable ? I have to say no. Clemens ,Bonds, Mc Gwire, Sosa, Howard Johnson, Dykstra.........It was right there and no one said anything.... Gary Player was the first to speak of steroids, hgh and creatine in Golf. Are they being used ? No doubt. Who is using them ? Like Tigers says : second sucks and there is no second right now, so we have to at least look at # 1. http://sports.espn.go.com/golf/news/story?id=2940886 All I'm saying is think about it. Would Tiger have won most of these majors with out the stuff ? Yes ; but not all of them. Does He work hard ? No doubt... Is He great for the game ? No doubt..... Let's not leave anything off the score card.

fwiw, i'm pretty much anti-tiger, but this is completely baseless nonsense. tiger's physique is attainable through clean training methods. i doubt he used any help, i just don't think that's part of his mental makeup. he wouldn't be able to live with himself knowing that his wins were tainted.

It's called excersise and hard work. He works out in the gym regularly and the results show. He has openly said he is willing to be tested any time. He would never disrespect his father or the game of golf by taking banned substances. He may have taken something to ease his pain last weekend, but I highly doubt he has ever knowingly taken performance enhancing drugs. He has proven over his career that you win tournaments with the short-game - chipping and putting. You don't need steroids to be the best putter or have the best short-game. So in my opinion, he is simply the best golfer alive and he's a great athlete who respects the game too much to cheat.

Yes, he's obviously become bigger, but here is a "before & after" of Tiger and Mark McGwire. They are not even close.

Don't forget steroids are also used for injury prevention.

However I VERY much doubt he has ever taken them. It goes against too much he stands for, believes in.

Like many old men past their prime, Gary Player seems bitter. Just saying......

I didn't read all the posts, but when Tiger played at Oakmont last year, he was at my gym 4 times. He worked out about at hard as I've seen anyone, each day for at least 1.5 hours. He puts the time in and with a good chef it is very easy to get to where he is now. Remember, he also works out with a trainer and Stevie was there each day too.

It is not hard to do. I got my brother from barely being able to bench 135 when he started a few years ago, to now doing 225 10 times. All this on a diet of chicken wings, pizza, and lots of beer. It can be done and if you eat properly your gains will be attained easier. I am sure he is on a HIGH protein diet too.

Don't know about that Mr B--anythings possible--and I'm no expert on subject but believe steroids add bulk and would be more detrimental to golf swing than asset.

Believe most weight training in golf would be light weights and lots of reps..just my opinion and just guessing.
