Does one have to check tabs on Bet&Win and Gamebookers weekly.
Something don't look right at G-bookers account and find incorrect grading on Robertson D. v Terblanche D. 72 Hole Match
----then something don't jive at B&W and there is parlay and 2 matches that have yet to be graded.

I have heard lots of good things about Aussie book Canbet and they take Neteller but have never see any post matches are outrights there.I see they have little there on golf currently but wondered what they had during regular season.I know something is not up to snuff or mates here would have plays listed there and there are none?

Sportingbet again 1st out of box with lines of my outs this week.
Was looking at Turner as long shot among many others and he opened @66/1 then dropped to 50/1. I wonder why they went back to paying only 4 places?

It's not unusual for books to only offer 4 places in these silly season events. Sportingbet will most likely switch to 5 places when the regular season starts.

Canbet are useless for golf IMO. Their outright prices are poor and there is no each way option. They use Don Best matches as well.

They have suggestions link for golf punters @ WSEX for 2003 season. They do read them evidently as here is response to adding place wagers. Good news for mates across the creek they're adding Euro,s. Never thought to ask them bout beards & bush.

Wayne:

Thanks for the good thoughts re each-way/place betting and outrights.

On our straight futures, the "not competitive" issue is a tricky one, as you no doubt realise. We're usually betting to a 126-28% overround pre-tourney, with the top 40 or so listed individually and a "field" price accounting for the rest. I know this is a lot tighter than any individual UK book, though I accept that we're generally unlikely to be top price on the board before R1 against the aggregate prices from a dozen-plus books. [We are, however, likely to be top-priced on a number of guys during in-running, since we try to be down to a c. 85 x 115 market by Sat/Sun.]

"Place only" is an idea that we've been kicking around for a while. We seem to get conflicting answers from our software guys re potential problems with partial payouts in a SF market - but I'll check again. If we can figure out a format that lets us update the place market after each round, we'll probably give it a go for the West Coast Swing and see how it goes.

On a related note, we'll be doing full coverage (including interactives) of EuroTour for '03 as well.

Thanks again, and definitely shoot us an email w/any additional thoughts.

Cheers,
The guys at the WSE Golf Desk

message and link (I guess its ok since they advertise here)

During the offseason, we will be working to upgrade and improve WSE's '03 golf coverage. Please email any thoughts/suggestions to golf@wsex.com. Send us an idea we can use, and we will send you a rare (and much coveted) WSE golf hat. Thanks
