So stupid. I don't understand fighting in hockey at all.

If two guys have a problem with each other and fists fly in a heated situation, I can understand that. But many hockey fights seems so contrived. Refs circling around...allowing it to go on for a certain amount of time. Guys who's only job is to fight...

I just don't understand it.

This fight takes the cake. Cave someone's head in for a minute then high fives for everyone!

And parents don't want their kids playing football...yeah, sure.

It doesn't bother me, but I do think that it should be a fight to defend someone, not just to fight for the crowds amusement. Even then, there is a penalty for it and they do drop their weapons.

I think we should have enforcers elsewhere.

In football - If a guy takes a cheap shot at the kicker, the enforcer should be allowed to fight in the place of the kicker.

In basketball, if someone flops, the enforcer should be allowed to stomp the flopper for as long as he remains on the ground (This goes for soccer too)

Baseball - Intentional HBP - The enforcer comes out of the bullpen and whoops the pitchers ass

That's one of the best hockey fights I've seen. Thanks for posting Josh. Usually you see guys grabbing their opponents jerseys so that they can't land blows like that and rarely do you see punches repeatedly land like that. Fuckin awesome is what I say :00hour
Who gives shit if they high-five? I like that they have that respect for each other. I think they deserved a good applause for putting on a show like that.

It's really hard to put into words. But I do think most life-long hockey fans would agree. There is a place in hockey for fighting and without it you lose checks and balances within the game. Again, I definitely see the outsiders point of view who doesn't catch much hockey but it's not just a fight on the surface.

Well said......

Although that fight was from a Quebec semi pro hockey league. Those two guys weren't even pro hockey players.

In other words that was "just for fun".

Now if you are talking about the NHL then that is different story.

But as I said........solid high five.

Hockey players = huge amounts of respect for fellow players.
