i'm not sure if Wed. still qualifies as a Hockey Night in Canada night ... but as a kid growing up there always seemed to be a game on Wed. and Sat. night.

boy, how often do i wish i still had my old ESSO hockey player/team stamp book.

Nope, now it's only on Saturdays.

I think it had to do with the Leafs playing more of their games on either Tue/Thur instead of Wed.

But I know what you mean about growing up watching Leafs on Wed/Sat.

I had the whole set plus some, MAN I wish I knew what happened to it or could find one

Loved those things they used to give away

Favorite one was Jimmy Rutherford for Detroit.

and being from St. Catharines (remember the Blackhawks/Ramparts series?) we would go over the river to the Sabres games ... good ol' kelly green sweaters everywhere.
