Year in and year out, its one of the better bowls. Texas on the move already. Big third and short here near the goalline.

Texas made it look easy on its opening drive.

I wonder if tonight will be a lot like last night......like PU, many feel Texas is disappointed to be here. Maybe they come out roaring, though, to stick it to those naysayers, but then sit back resting on their laurels. ASU, a dangerous second half team could make them pay for that, a la CMU last night.

ASU has been a slow starter all season, it will be interesting if they can answer the early Texas score.

Not only are these Holiday Bowls a blast, but it gives us a rare shot to see upper tier Big 12 and Pac 10 teams play each.....we were pretty close to seeing Texas vs USC in this game at one point; that would have been a blast.

Cie, Fla......I hate seeing that I am on opposite sides of you guys.....but it is what it is......good to know you guys will win if I lose. :toast:

ASU has done this in virtually everyone of their games this year....fall behind, in some cases substantianlly, going into halftime only to roar out of the second gates.

14-0 vs Colorado.....19-0 vs Oregon State.....won both going away, as an example......then, there's USC, where they fell behind and stayed behind.

Texas falls somewhere in between CU/OSU and USC.....still think we could be seeing Purdue all over again from last night; but man, ASU needs to stay in range, so they need an answer fast.....cant wait for halftime adjustments tonight.

Lots of time left in this game. As noted they were a horrible first half team this year.

I hate to say a team should abandon the run....but ASU should be able bomb all day on Texas....eventually Erickson will let the offense loose and we should see some fireworks from the Devils,

Of course, as I say this Carpenter underthrows his man and it ends up a pick.....maybe interference on that play, could have easily been called.
