Anyone have experience with this engine? Honda has a good reputation for engines that can last 200K, but this engine claims to be a cut above. Is this gimmicky or the real deal? Just a little cautious of "new and improved". TIA.

Had V-Techs in all 3 of my Hondas and each over 200k with no problems and basic maintenance! :0074
Had a 2006 Acura TSX with 4 banger vvtc Honda engine...indestructible and very hi enjoyment factor...
never had an issue....traded it with 140k miles on it....wish I had kept it.....

Well maintained, rust free, nice shape.
Anything newer was out of the question.
Number one, I probably couldn't afford anything newer
and secondly, I do a lot of inner city driving and the roads in
and around Pittsburgh are pretty bad.
Vehicles age quickly around here.

Yeah, you're right. It isn't new. I'm just behind the times, plus I'm not really a car nut. I had never heard of VTECH technology before, probably because it's exclusive to Honda and I've never owned one. But from what I've learned recently, Honda makes a good machine.
