What could possibly be so insulting about their Mohammed guy being in a cartoon? What, is he on his knees blowing somebody or taking it up the arse? Damn, they're calling for beheadings and another "9/11".

It's "hurt the faith and feelings of Muslims all over the world". My feelings are hurt occasionally. Doesn't mean I want to burn down an embassy.

I'll admit I haven't researched it much but give me a break. Just something else for them to get pissed about.

Anyone find this cartoon? Please post it.

That is all.

I can't understand the response either. The feeling I get is that it is Ok for them to burn embassies, etc... in response to a cartoon yet US is made to look like a villiam when responding to direct attacks (Twin Towers (twice), Beirut, Pan Am flight, Khobar Towers, USS Cole, Kenyan Embassy, etc...) If it is acceptable to burn an embassy and saw someone's head off in retaliation, what would be the proper response to the Trade Center attack? I have no doubt that if Iran, Iraq, Syria have a nuclear bomb and the capability to deliver it, they would hesitate to use it.

I just cannot understand why the Muslim community gets a pass.

Thank you S-Love.

My, those were insulting! I guess I can see their point.

Just some more folks just sitting there waiting to get pissed off about something.

If there were a cartoon depicting Jesus in a demeaning way, well, I may not like it but people do have their rights. They would be assholes to me but it doesn't mean I want to go burn down their house or kill them.

Anyways, thanks again.

I didnt get many laughs out of that.

They need to get some sensitivity training.

The worse part is that group of al queda breaking out of Yemen prison. The same ones that planned the Cole bombing.

Oh goody. Now doesnt that sound like pre destiny. A jail break.

We may be hearing from that group of escapees again.

Maybe the Danis are trying to get Islam to understand freedom of the press issues.

Solution to people saying things are not always cut off their heads.

Translation MIM: The struggle over the Mohammed caricatures: In Western eyes it is a harmless joke. But Islam forbids pictures of God and his Prophet Mohammed.

Printing a picture of Mohammed is cause to kill?

"Criticism of Muhammad is often equated with blasphemy, which is punishable (by death) in some Muslim-majority or Islamic states. This is because the Muslim belief is that Muhammad was the messenger of Allah himself, and that his actions were willed by Allah. Many Muslims believe that to reject and criticise Muhammad is to reject and criticise Allah."

"The Organization of the Islamic Conference and the Arab League have demanded that the United Nations impose international sanctions upon Denmark

Laughable...the irony is overwhelming

"Iran has announced that it will cease all trade with "countries that have published the cartoons". A high level commitee involving the Foreign Minister, the Deputy Foreign Minister, the Deputy Trade Minister and the Deputy Oil Minister has been set up."

Nobody wants to trade with Iran to begin with. Good luck with carrying that threat out Iran!

"Also on January 29, a Muslim Cleric in the Iraqi city of Mosul issued a fatwa stating, "Expel the Crusaders and infidels from the streets, schools, and institutions because they have offended the person of the prophet."

Why would this surprise anybody?

Why are we still counting on 'democracy' and 'peaceful change' in that region? Why are we still trying to sell that bullshit? Why are many in this country STILL buying that line?

Religion over there trumps everything and it's not even close and it will never change.

Their religion is a backwards. ....Almost beyond comment. That would be fine if they could just grasp one concept:

1) Most of the rest of the world is not Muslim.

So - OK - for Muslims it's blasphemy to make a caricature of precious fragile Muhammad. Good for them - go to town with that nonsense. But for us pagans - we don't give a crap. We do not believe it's blasphemy to make caricatures of anything. Until they can somehow accept the fact that not everyone believes the same as them, they will continue to be the assholes of the world.

I really wish our president didn't have to have makeout sessions with their leaders in the flower garden and kiss the ring all the time. Looks like we'll be continuing our double-standard relationship with that part of the world for quite a while.

Yeah, it really does surprise me that people buy that shit.

In regards to the cartoons, Fvck Muslims. When they start getting outraged over Islamics murdering innocent people, I may actually start giving a steamy shit what they think. They kill God-knows how many people and they just yawn. They can keep pretending their little death-cult is a real religion if they want, but don't expect me to be concerned about their iddy biddy feelings.

It's a sign of their insecurity. No one should allow a cartoon to fuel their anger. That part of the world is in the toilet and it's doubtful that anything is going to change soon.

You know if you swap USC and Scott4USC in there in a few places everything fits nicely. It explains alot.

"the bunker"
cnn....""CNN has chosen to not show the cartoons out of respect for Islam.""

translation...""CNN has chosen to not show the cartoons out of fear of Islam.""

but, they apparently have no such “respect” for christianity...they didn’t hesitate for a second to show this image of the virgin mary made out of elephant dung and pictures of female genitalia....

http://archives.cnn.com/2000/STYLE/arts/03/27/museum.flap/story.painting.ap.jpg

btw....trashing the flag of denmark in the gaza strip....denmark?? ......even if you were overcome with a sudden urge to burn the danish flag, where do you get one in a hurry in gaza?

well, o.k....., that's easy: the nearest european union humanitarian aid and intifada-funding branch office....everybody knows that...

cnn lost all credibility when they made the deal with saddam to print only positive articles if he allowed them to keep their baghdad office open....

bunch of fricking pultroons..

Do you really think it's about cartoons???

This whole discussion is focusing on a cartoon. The lying corporate media want you to think these crazy muslims are just going nuts over a cartoon. The cartoons are everywhere, and these unstable backward whackos are burning sh!t down over it! Game, set, match to the propagandists in our lying corporate media.

You guys don't think for a second that what we're seeing around the globe might just be blowback from the past ohhh... I dunno...let's pick a number... 100 years of western imperialism, domination and murder???

And it seems like only days ago we were sh!tting on the US for illegally targetting a civilian house in Pakistan and murdering 13 innocent people with a remote-controlled missile...

But yeah, they're pissed about the cartoons.
