Does anyone know if extremely warm temps lead to OVERS?

I would think it would wear on the pitchers big time & get to the shaky pens kinda early for NYY & Tex tonight...

OVER 9.5?

I have been posting this, but, I guess not often enough.
the over total with the evening heat index at 102 or hotter is now 20-6-2 over the last three years.

The problem tonight:
According to the forcast, gametime will be 102.
The temps will drop to 93 during the game.
This is the first game since the break that I am not playing due to the temp drop.
I agree that this total is low the way that the runs have been scored since the break, but, I wouldn't count on the conditions helping you to get there. Maybe Tex/ NY can get there anyway.

By the way, Intense Operator asked a question in my last post about other ballparks. I did do some work during the break. After the All star breaks in the last three years, Baltimore and Philly have been the two best parks for the over. I could not find that temps had anything to do with this, and the humidity records are not available.
So, could not answer why, but, those two parks were the best in the AL and NL for the over during the past three seasons...

Interesting stuff Raybo...

Still that 100-102 should affect the SPs in the first 1-1.5 hours of the game for sure fatiguing them greatly especially Joba since he is still not 100% stretched out.

Add to that no Mo Rivera tonight...so I am hoping the trend still prevails....
