he's pitching incredible of late.
vargas has managed to drop his era from a season high 14.39 on june the 15th to a respectable 4.26 as of todays game.
wow.

vargas has allowed fewer hits than innings pitched in that time frame, with his only problem being the long ball.
when he gives up hits, 1 out of every 6 is a home run.
since the july 2nd, vargas has allowed 1,3,2,1,0 in his 5 starts.
