Turn back the clock to Dec 3, 2002, with the Spurs going into Houston as 2.5 pt favorites. They lost the game by 14 pts. On Jan 20, 2003, the Spurs failed to cover a 6.5 spread at home against the Rockets, and that was with 2 days rest after pounding the horrible Hawks.

Now the Spurs must travel to Houston with NO rest after fighting the Kings yesterday. Yes the Spurs are tough. Yes the Spurs are looking good. But.....

Gotta go with history on this one. The -2 just looks too good to be true, AND IT IS!!!

Halftime Bettor, with all due respect, I think you're on the wrong side here. San Antonio is a far better team at this point than Houston. There are no revenge factor here, but if here were any, it would be with the Spurs. Short "history" does not hold water, such was the case with Sacramento yesterday (each team won on the other's home). San Antonio is peaking. Why was this team favored by only 3.5 yesterday? And again today...Why is Houston demanding so much respect? It is a back-to-back situation for the Spurs, but mr. wizard is correct. It's only a 30-minute flight from San Antonio to Houston.

Now with all that said, I'm going to follow gsp's philosophy. I don't like Vegas helping me. As I'm typing this, the line just went down to 1.5.

Good luck to everyone. I like the Rockets. They may get their clocks cleaned. I'm a Spurs fan. In my heart I'd love to see them win, but the Kings wear teams out. Rockets have had 2 days off. They've just lost 2 in a row on the road, including a close one to the Wizards. Now they come home.

I think they will play with energy tonight in front of the home crowd. If they don't, I lose. It's only money!!
