The Houston Rockets go for their third straight win tonight when they take on the Portland Trailblazers.

The Blazers are 6-5 SU and 5-6 ATS so for this season. They have attracted their normal share of adverse publicity with Bonzi Wells being stripped of his co-captaincy and suspended two games for cursing coach Cheeks. In the first game of his suspension the Blazers rallied from 14 points down in the fourth to beat the Miami Heat 94-93. Those types of emotional come-from-behind wins often lead to a let-down in the following game and that may well be the case tonight. While the Blazers have won five straight at the Rose Garden, the last three of those victories have been by a combined total of 6 points.

The Rockets lead the Midwest at 8-3 SU and 7-4 ATS. They have performed well on the road this season easily beating the Nets, 76ers and Bulls and losing to the Mavs and Raptors (in double overtime). Coach Jeff Van Gundy is just the man to get the very best out of superstars Steve Francis and Yao Ming.

We'll go with the small road dog tonight and expect Houston to win this one outright.
