Though I seldom post an NFL play here, I absolutely love Houston +3' today. How Miami can lay points on the road to anybody is a mystery to me after they were fortunate to get by Tenn. at home last week.

While the Houston D has been getting toasted, it should be noted that they were beat up by the two of the elite offenses in the NFL thus far. Look for a much improved effort today. I also look for steady improvement from the Houston offense as Dayne and Gaddo become more familliar with the system.

I think that all indicators suggest that the Texans just may notch their first win today.

Houston +3' 5 unit play
Houston ML +172 2 units

spang, i really like the play and agree with you 100%. just don't know if i trust houston enough to pull the trigger. which means they should come through for you. culpepper should be good for at least one td for the texans.

Thanks Smitty, I'll take a stab on a bad team at home getting points rather than a bad team laying on the road such as the Fins and Brownies today.

i'm struggling with that brownies game. how bad are the raiders that cleveland is laying 2 1/2 on the road? no way could i take either team there. although i'm thinking about just automatically wagering one unit against the raiders each week.

not sure if you read bill simmons (the sports guy) on espn.com, but last week he took the bye week -10.5 over the raiders. i think he won. :) here's the actual post...

BYE (-10.5) over Raiders
Matt S. in Santa Barbara writes, "This weekend I was hanging out with two of my buddies, one of whom is a hardcore Raiders fan, when we came up with one of our best ideas in a while. When Al Davis finally dies we're going to throw a party where we celebrate his death by wearing jumpsuits and gold eyeglass chains." See, these are the things we would be showing if they ever put me in charge of ESPN6: live footage of the "Al Davis is dead" party in Santa Barbara.

Living here, and having season tickets, all I can see is GL but I cant justify laying a dime on these guys. They are not just bad, they have no heart or emotion. On gambling principals sure you would look at Miami, and I hope you are right, but much more to this.

Brownies probably do win it, but not with my $$ behind them.
