Why does everyone love Houston tonight? Looking to load up, one with 1h Iowa and looks like Iowa in the game. Also got Miami OH.

Value everyone's opinion but I don't see what Houston's appeal is? Love to load up on it, especially getting points. But the option at Rice always worries me. Thoughts?

Thanks.

like Houston + points Got + 8 now 7 or 6.5 would still play it at +7

Feel Houston is improved this year and Rice must replace more starters,. Houston lost this match-up 14 - 21 last year so I like the points. But be level headed with these early games.

Houston + 8 for 3 %

Rice only has 8 total returning starters (4 on Def. & 4 on off.) Houston returns 12 ( 7 on Off & 5 on def). Last two games:

rice 21 UH 14
Rice 30 UH 27 in OT

This game is usually very tight. Rice is option team and with only 1 returning limeman will have a tough time with option.

good luck!

Houston is my top bet of the week.

My reasoning for doing so revolves around a few factors not the least of which are some of the uncertainties in the other games. Illinois lost Kittner and I have no real gauge as of yet on their O. Same story for Clemson. Baylor generally doesn't inspire too much confidence even when playing against the Golden Bears. Additionally, Cal is playing with a new "pro-style" O and that should help QB Boller excel. I'd like to get a better read on them before betting against. As such, I'm left with Houston. I think they should put up some strong numbers in the passing game and that may well be enough to get by Rice.

+270 on the ML is tempting, waiting for results of today's game before I pull the trigger.

I'm convinced. I had just seen alot of sites and people liking Houston but with no explanation. Appreciate the information. Waiting on my Miami(OH) then looks like Houston will be my late play. Good luck to us all:)
