How long are tennis fans going to have to watch dried up players from the 70s talk about these matches?
Grand Slam USA coverage.....
That's only if you are watching from the USA. Thankfully if outside of USA you don't have to listen to John McEnroe (who only knows 1 percent of what actually goes on in men's pro tennis) and Chris Evert (who still talks about Serna Williams every 5 minutes even though she's retired).
In other words if you are outside of the USA you have 8 to 10 commentators covering various matches and they actually know what the fuck is going on. Ya know they actually do research and shit, ya know like you are supposed to do! And oh yeah they don't "sugarcoat" shit, they call it like it is.
Americans don't know how these guys are (see list below), but these guys are AMAZING at covering all things tennis, even if you have never seen a tennis match on tv, you watch any Grand Slam tennis match with these guys behind the microphone and they'll make it enjoyable, they know their shit
And they will even tell you "behind the scenes stuff" (who got in a fight in the locker room, who got banned for drugs, who fucked their coach, etc etc). You'll never get that from ESPN coverage because the "dried up players" in front of the camera have no idea what the fuck is going on. Hell John McEnroe only knows who like 15 players are (if that), he has no idea what the hell is going on
These guys (almost all former players) know all the players, all the coaches, pretty much everything, they know what's up.....
Nick Lester (the absolute best)
Mark Petchey
Mark Woodforde
Colin Fleming
John Fitzgerald
Jason Goodall
and some more that I can't remember their names right this second.
