On the course!
I open the door, and as I'm getting out, I push the "door lock" button. It seems so simple!

Why do so many people feel the need to walk 50 feet from their car, and then hit the lock button on their fob? I understand how cool that shit was a hundred years ago, when only really expensive cars had that feature.

Also seems like a good way to get shit stolen from your car. As you walk away, someone can just hop in before you lock it.

Seems a little silly.

Rant over..........Jack?

I almost never lock my car. In fact when I get home and put it in the garage I let the keys in the switch. I have a 2004 Honda Pilot Lx and I'm not lucky enough to have a "clicker" as we call them here. If I do lock my car I press the lock button from inside but to unlock it I have to use the rear hatch door lock or the passenger side door lock because my drivers door lock is broken.

I always use the fob. That way I'm assured not to lock my keys in the car.

Most cars can't be locked with the key in the ignition and if you post off topic in here again after I moved it....well don't be surprised for being locked out of the forum.

I never take the fob out of my pocket. Push the door handle to lock, grab it to open.

My doors won't lock if the fob is in it

ps............yyz about your signature. 65 was going to the Westgate to talk with Jay about your concern, that was Tuesday, nothing yet?

I saw Jay over the Super Bowl. He said he has never seen a bigger group of assholes than you guys. I told him you bring it up all of the time, and he said he has no idea who you are, but if you were part of that group, you should fucking die already.

Amazing how you do that to people!

While it is certainly still a crime I suspect there is a good chance your insurance is going to pass the bill for any damages/replacement right back on to you if they can prove (or you tell them) that the keys were in it.

I always lock my car remotely after I step out. My car doesnt chirp when I lock it, so grumpy fucks that worry about trivial shit can't complain

Btw, I had a delicious $7 pad thai from a food truck yesterday in downtown nola. Of course, I used chopsticks to eat it, which made me feel cool.

I had an RF extender put on my "clicker" so that while I am ordering a stromboli at Sbarro's at the mall, I can THEN lock my car and only then. :0008

It's usually written into the contract that they won't pay out if the keys are in the car. Forgetting to mention it probably won't work many cars now have a microchip in the key head and the car won't start without this, secondly if the car was recovered there will be evidence that the key was used to start it as there will be no sign of it being hot wired. This indiscretions will not get past the insurance companies.
