Can someone explain to me how to set the post times to match my actual time. It is currently 5 hours ahead of me. Thanks in advance.

Click on User CP at the top of any page.
Click on Edit Options.
Scroll down and set the time to GMT-5 (if it's 5 hours off for you now).

Never mind, i figured it out all by myself, "I'm a big boy now" HA!! pretty good for a guy that is completely computer illiterate!
