On the course!
I'm seeing a lot of the same posts as yesterday.

The posts about how St Louis can't lose....the over is a must...etc.

How many games yesterday ended with, "Can you believe that shit?"

People looooooooved the Vikings last night. This was after loving Tennessee, Atlanta, New Orleans, Indy, and Green Bay and Denver on Thursday.

This league has truly become a game of mediocre teams meeting week in, and week out.

Now, IMO, St Louis is the strongest team in the NFL, and the only one worth taking a stand on at this kind of spread. That being said, I would not be shocked to see the Bucs hang in there, or even win.

I didn't like a single game this week, and don't much care for tonight's game, either. (Of course, I need the stinking Rams for the $5000 contest, to salvage another 2-3 week!)

I am finding it quite difficult to locate "easy" winners this season in the NFL. In years past, a few games a week always stood out, and a good number of them panned out. This season......well, we have all scratched our heads, and bitched and whined after we lost a game or ten! Not too many guys in here are posting plus numbers. This is indicitive of the top to bottom "parity" in the league.

With all of this in mind, can anyone say, with conviction, "I love this game!", anymore? I don't think so.

the line has gone down like everyone is on the bucs or maybe it was all the injuries st louis had last week. after watching that bucs game last week against the bears the receivers of the rams probably cant wait bucs defense made miller look like montana on those td throws. i would not touch this game like you say it looks too easy. if the rams get out to a big lead in the first half i would look at tampa for the second half and the under it seems when the rams get up they go to running the ball and killing a bunch of clock. good luck whatever you do.

I don't usually post anything about MNF games but I DO like the Rams -4' in the first half tonight. I haven't got a clue about the entire game or the totals, but the Rams have typically come out smokin' against everyone this year, it's the second half that seems to give 'em hell. Just my two cents worth.

Much better value in hoops tonight anyway.

I couldnt agree with you guys more.
NFL is way tough this year, It seems to me there are alot of mediocre teams this year.
I am starting to believe my wife who says it is all just luck in picking the right team. She picks teams by their uniforms or whether or not she likes them.
She went 4-1 yesterday,
All popular picks,
Pitts.
SanFran.
Oakland.
Miami.
Lost on Philly
By the way..she likes the Rams tonight

inside your head
I said with conviction that I loved Washington yesterday. I think you can definately find sides to love that actually love you back sometimes

I do not understand something. All year I have been reading about the obvious parity this year and everyone seems to agree about this. So what does this logically mean?? Any given Sunday! The dogs have been mostly alive and barking.

Buddy has laid out a little something so powerful in his gen disc thread. Possible outcomes for teams when favored or as dog. Assume you always play a number with a hook so to eliminate pushes and make this example more evident. 3 possible outcomes for a team.

Fav:

a) Win and cover
b) Win and NO cover
c) Lose and no cover

Dog

a) Win and cover
b) Lose and COVER
c) Lose and NO cover

Favorite: 1 out of 3 = good outcome = %33%
Dog: 2 out of 3 = good outcome = 66%

Imagine 2 bags with three balls labeled a,b & c as above, 1 for favs, 1 for dogs. Each time you pick a ball, you return it to bag and pick again. Which bag would you rather be 'picking' balls from?

I'm not saying every dog will win or cover.....but if you look hard enough, you will know who is 'live' (zona, chi...) and who is not being given the credit they deserve (wash). That to me is where the tru 'value' lies in the NFL.

That being said, I think the Rams bitch slap the bucs tonight and win by 21. Not a lot though

but will risk a pizza pie just to have something to root for. Don't wanna give any of sunday's dough back to the pizza guy.....
