News Flash on tv just said.......

Both Hornet games scheduled to be played this month down in Louisiana have been rescheduled to be played in OKC.

A press conference on the team's future is set for tomorrw.

Folks......it looks like OKC is no longer minor league....we's gett'n us an NBA TEAM!!!

OKC HORNETS

New Orleans didn't support the team anyway........put them where they will be appreciated and fans will buy into the organization.

Heck, Hornet management would be fools to leave here and go back to New Orleans......a love affair has been born.

The Honey Bees look like they have a new home! ez

OKC Sports Talk Radio was just.....

OKC Sports Talk Radio was just.....

addressing what was going on.

No real news today but it was revealed that the two games were moved because of "scheduling conflicts" with a Bon Jovi concert???

Wow....that sounds a tad suspicious.....doesn't it?

Mixed emotions are being expressed that OKC is capitalizing on the New Orleans disaster.

One talk show host said he, "doesn't see the Hornets going back for a loooong time...if ever."

They all felt that David Stearn has a lot on his plate with this situation......BUT.....19,326 butts in seats last night makes him a bit less sensitive to rescheduling games that were to be played in Baton Rouge etc.....etc.....etc

You have to wonder with a team like the Hornets whether the organization is better off in OKC?

Absolutely!

Everyone of us in have watched when Hornets or Atlanta Hawks games have like 20 people in the stands......and they were all street people just looking to get warm for a couple of hours.

I tend to agree......Stearn gets a team in OKC sooner rather than later.

The number of Hornet season tickets sold in this "small" OKC market rated them 10th among all NBA teams at the begining of the season!! :scared

This story will continue to unfold.

Nothing for me tonight guys.....this card is about as bad as it gets.

BOL if you venture out with a play. ez

Yep this is up in the air. I dated a Honey Bee and looks as though all of the old ones are gone. I was a season Ticket holder and till this day George Shinn says he is returning to New Orleans. They have refunded all of the monies for the Season Ticket holders and are allowing the intrest paid on them to go towards next years packages. You are right about a city supporting them. Hell if it wouldnt have been for my girlfriend I would not even bought season Tickets. LOL I bought them just to see her.

Shinn is filthy rich and a sell out every night sure he loves it but he was really happy with 12,000 showing up on a average in New Orleans.

Just like the Saints I do believe the Hornets will be back in New Orleans.

Shinns half his age wife loves it here. She has addressed that they will be back in New Orleans. You know the saying about women. The guy may wear the pants but its the female that wears the belt that keeps the pants up.

Kewl....

Appreciate your opinion and thoughts.

There is a third possibility and that is KC with their new hockey arena to get the Ducks. They want NBA too!

If Shinn wants MONEY.....he's in the "cat-bird" seat. Three cities wanting an NBA team and it's a seller's market!

I have heard that there is even division within the organization some don't want to go back to New Orleans.

Stearn and the board will be the "gatekeepers" on this deal and have huge input as to what eventually happens.

One thing Shinn likes is how his team has responded in OKC and the job Byron Scott is doing. Much....much improved over what they were last season.

If the Hornets stay around here....maybe someday........I could date a Honey Bee????
