huge boxing upset...michalczewski loses in germany!

julio gonzales outhustled german champ and hero over 12 rounds......scores-116-112....116-112 and 113-115 for michalczewski(the german judge).......according to punchstat,gonzales outpunched the german 2-1 and landed most of the power shots.......

quite an upset....i think michalczewski falls one or two wins short of matching rocky marciano`s winning skein......

sorry we couldn`t see it....very lucky michalczewski never took the roy jones fight....

Michalczewski was cut by a headbutt in the second round,
that may have influenced his performance if he couldn't see
or was distracted by the blood. Either way it was a huge
upset as Gonzalez lost every round to Jones and was down
three times in that fight. Michalczewski has been whooping
guys like Gonzalez for years. I think the headbutt was a
huge factor in this fight.

the headbutt may have factored in.....i`m surprised that the german`s didn`t try and have the fight stopped and then go to the cards....but,i don`t believe they ever felt comfortable that michalczewski was ahead.....michalczewski was outpunched 2-1.....maybe father time finally caught up with him....make no mistake....gonzales is no dog....you have to work to beat him....apparently michalczewski had trouble with the swarming style...

it`s funny that for awhile,you`d have to murder a german fighter to get a decision there....now,they`re dropping like flies....
