OVC Notebook: Tennessee State dismisses four from men's basketball team
Thomas Corhern
Herald-Citizen Assistant Sports Editor
Thursday, Feb 04, 2010

Tennessee State dismissed four players from its program on Tuesday, including the team's leading scorer, at what could really be a bad time for the Tigers. The four juniors -- Erick Peguero, Darius Cox, Hamilton Nash and Josh Sain -- were dismissed for violations of team policy, and Tigers coach John Cooper stated he would not tolerate repeat violations. Cooper did not mention what rule the players had broken.

Sain, the team's leading scorer with a 13.7 points-per-game average, was already suspended once this season for four games. Cox was also a repeat offender, suspended three games this season. Cox averaged 7.5 ppg and 5.3 rebounds.

Don't know much what the team has on the bench to replace these players but the one that looks like they could miss would be this one. The rest of them ????.

Murray St. won at Tenn St. by 21...

Now they will be short on the bench, and missing top scorer...

Take Murray St.

Good luck to you.. Hope you win.. In my experience when players get suspended, or if a star is out for that game, play on that team. It just seems to work that way the majority of the time. Hope I am wrong..

Was thinking the same thing..........Bench players getting time to showcase & coaches not wanting to rub it in teams face....

Bench players on a 4-19 team???

And a short bench at that...

Fatigue will become a factor.

Thankfully, at the time of betting with my local, the line he gave me was 22. the 22.5 was posted much earlier.

I will consider myself lucky to get the push.

Next time may not be so eager on a game with these circumstances...
