Pepperdine -1 vs Cal irvine

All I know is CAL IRVINE had trouble with the worst team in history MT ST MARYS.

Pepperdine played well there 1st game and will beat IRVINE by at least 15...to the bank

West Coast special

I've been having trouble figuring this game out. . . gotta remember that Cal Irvine ALWAYS had trouble blowing out terrible teams last year, yet found a way to beat some of the better teams in their conference. . . especially at home. Basically, they play to the level of their competition and do extremely well as a home dog (at least last year).

Looks like a game to stay away from until we can figure out if Irvine's first game was just a fluke or not.

I think Cal irvine blows up here. I know they have not played well yet, but neither have the best teams. Trust me if you think Cal-Irvie sucks you got it all wrong. This team payed for a entire week in the Bahamas for me last year and I believe they are going to be just as good as last year. Not saying it's a bad bet, but watch for a explosive Irvine team.

GOOD LUCK OR SKILLS

Doesn't IRVINE have the big frontline??? I remember reading an article about them last year it seems, and they had like 3 guys 6'10 to 7'3 and all we're coming along pretty well. Don't know if they are all still there, but seems to me they were all pretty young if my memory serves me right... I remember being on them alot at home also.

All of these big men are great for cal-irvine.....They suck ....that is why they are at cal-irvine not an sec or big 10 or acc or big east school...Pepperdine has athletes that will full court press 90 feet and cause at-least 20 turnovers...That is whay they do especially since they have a new coach who I like ( westphal) they will be solid but not as solid as last year as everyone knows pepperdine's last years best player si playing for th nets(armstrong )but theyre speed and wuicknes will be to much for a goofy front line of UC irvine might have 25 turnovers

FYI for the future of this season, UCI will be very similar to last years Anteater team. They have an awesome coach who dominated Division 2 level at CS Bakersfield, and they have their top players returning from last year's team. I dont recall off the top of my head how they fared against Peperdine and did not know they struggled against St. Mary's. I just expect they will keep having solid years to come as long as they keep the same head coach who is a winner.

anyone considering ill state needs to be aware that tavise byson, team's leading scorer, dislocated his wrist last game and is out for the season. this loss is huge - byson was mvc player of the year last year and this year's preseason player of the year. actually i'm considering the anteaters with the points.
