Hunting cabin/shack pics

Lets have a look at your hunting cabin/shack.

Weve had the place for 2 years. Sits on 40 acres and has hundreds of acres of public land on all 4 sides. Nearest neighbor is about a mile down the road. The best thing is no more buzz box (generator) Guy down the road ran elec (underground) to his property and had to go thru ours to get there. So we gave him permission and were able to tap into the line at no cost. Normally the person that runs the line is allowed to charge others for hooking to the line.

Next years improvements will be putting up permanent blinds/stands with a platform below for bow hunting and cutting out shooting lanes.

Dont know why the pics are not showing up anymore in the 1st post. The link for them is still in the post so they should be up.:shrug:

Anyways...went up last weekend and worked on the outhouse. All thats left to do is put a Harley decal on the wall, lay down black and orange tiles and run electric out there.

Wife stayed up there all week to work in the cabin. She painted the ceiling, layed tiles in the main area and put down carpet squares in one of the bedrooms. Made a world of difference. Will post pics later.

Outhouse finally finished. Who knew you cant buy completely orange tiles. Bought white ones and painted them. Dont know if I will be able to get elec out there this year.

When the previous owners put in the ceiling the did a horrible job of taping and mudding. Easiest solution was to get some 1 x 6s, stain them and put over the bad tape job.

forgive me for asking this

but why would you put a outhouse inside the cabin.

A outhouse is supposed to be outside about 100 yds away. That way you dont have to swat flys and smell shit stinks when you eat your roasted bear meat ?

If it was inside the cabin it would have been called an inhouse not an outhouse.
